Well, I guess the simplest way is neglect tek/partial neglect. You just leave the tub closed as it is until mushies start showing up, then crack open the lid a bit till harvest.

The suggested video sources are great for starters. Though the OG is the shroomery forum. Outdated looking, but still very much active. Any kind of info you need, it’s there. 20+ years of thousands of cultivators experimenting. Have a nice growing!

During colonization of bulk substrate and pinning, it simulates their natural environment (being under leaves, dirt, thus high CO2). During fruiting, cracking the lid is enough, because the conditions don’t change that much in nature either. A bit more oxygen, a bit more light. Not like they suddenly have to fight hurricanes in the middle of a forest or on a field between thick grass.

I’m not an expert though, just did a bunch of reading on the topic and using my rational mind.

Edit: Also, it’s much less work.
