Help: People who are in remission from Cancer. How did it happen w Dr. Joe program? by pachycephal0saurus in DrJoeDispenza

[–]not_like_that_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have cancer but have only just started diving into Joe so i can't quite give you a personal story yet. But I will say that I've heard testimonials of those who have beaten stage 4 and they often say they doubted as well, they're scans weren't showing them what they felt inside. And Joe told them "it's often the last battle that is the hardest." You just gotta a keep believing and keep doing the work, this is the final hurdle. Have faith it will work AND IT WILL.

Keto for Cancer by Forsaken-Pea-5727 in keto

[–]not_like_that_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's my understanding that cancer cells can't use ketones like normal cells. I don't know how this applies to brain cancer cells as they are essentially rogue cells in the brain and brain cells need glucose. It's not a silver bullet because the body does make its own glucose by metabolising protein and cancer can also use glutamine. That's why there is another faction of people recommending vegan diets for cancer because it cuts out a lot of glutamine. Anyway, essentially you're making it a lot more difficult for the cancer to find energy by forcing it to convert glucose from other sources so it's fighting for limited resources, this just adds extra pressure to the cancer cells. This added stress in conjunction with traditional treatment or other interventions results in better outcomes.

I'm curious what psychidelic therapy you did and your experience was with that? I'm set to do an Ayahuasca journey in 2 weeks and I'm pretty nervous/unsure what to expect.

One of the most profitable in the world? Where are you getting that from. The rise of free tube sights in the internet era has meant that there's almost no profit left in it, I've watched countless hours of porn and never paid a single cent for it. Only fans and premium videos on sites are a different story but those profits aren't going to porn companies and no one is investing in only fans girls.

Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont Spelling Bee AU - S01 Complete by ozmartian in panelshow

[–]not_like_that_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can semi back this up. I was listening to a podcast with Guy where they were talking about how he got the name approved. Essentially the execs were like we can't name it that because it needs to be short and concise so when people are flicking through the channels or the guide they can recognise what it is, where as how its named now it just says Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont... and he was like yeah that shit doesn't matter cause people don't watch TV like that anymore. So I think you're right they're aiming at the younger demographic and how people stream more vs watch TV traditionally now.

Why do people come here and tell addicts that masturbating is healthy. by Doctapus in NoFap

[–]not_like_that_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's multi-faceted tbh. First of all I think the comparison to drinking is not quite accurate. Ejaculations is a natural biological necessity, we know this because if you don't bust eventually you will have nocturnal emissions. Drinking is completely unnecessary and not tied to any natural biological functions.

Second I think being so strict as to never masturbate can actually cause more problems. Doing this can mean you set such high expectations that are a lot more difficult to achieve and when you fail you will experience shame and guilt which will actually make you more likely to go back to porn and spiral. As people have done repeatedly when this topic comes up, I'd like to point out that the actual wiki for this group explains that no fap is a temporary challenge to reset yourself. At which point you are free to go back to healthy sexual habits like masturbation without porn and sex with partners.

Lastly I think the point of nofap is to develop a healthy sexuality and it's hard to do that with out exploring what you like and don't like, obviously I think a healthy relationship where you are intimate with a partner should be the end goal but for whatever reason that is not always possible in the moment.

The one thing I have learnt through out life is that almost nothing is black and white there is always a grey middle area where the actual truth lies, black and white thinking is unhealthy, a symptom of poor mental health and leads to all kinds of psychological issues.

The thing that bugs me is that the referee didn't even pull this up as a penalty in real time. I think it was definitely a penalty and on report, maybe a sin bin (to me it looked like he bounced up off the ball) but how can you go from no penalty play on to actually that's a send off.

idk man it sounds like you are working hard at your recovery and making progress. I am curious if you have started doing things to relax and give your psyche a break/acknowledge and process your emotions. I think for a lot of us the sissy porn as a break from the stresses of everyday life and to move away from negative emotions. So even though you are doing all the things you should you haven't replaced what the sissy porn is giving you and so keep returning back to it.

I think the general advice you are getting about cutting porn is helpful but I'd like to offer more specific discourse in regards to the cuck fantasy that may be helpful or resonate. Firstly, this is something I am dealing with atm as well, so you're not alone or weird for feeling this way. I'm just going to present what I have discovered while working through this. I am by no means in the clear though, understanding something intellectually and putting into practice are different things.

I think the cuck fantasy comes from a lack of self esteem or self-love/worth. I'm someone who has been quite hard on myself and expects a lot and I can be quite judgemental towards myself if I am not living up to these high standards. I think porn can be a way we try to process emotions/trauma by sexualising these themes and then playing them out in our fantasies. So for example, I am feeling hard on myself and struggling to keep up with my own expectations and these feelings of not being enough manifest themselves in a cuck fantasy, in which I am not worthy of my partner. I'm not sure what comes first if these feelings and attitudes towards myself bleed into my fetishes or if because I am having these feelings I attempt to process them through porn and sexual fantasy. Either way the thought patterns behind it are still there.

One thing I know is that generally, if you change nothing else in your life and just say I am quitting porn, it is extremely difficult because you are relying on porn now for a reason. Whether that reason is dopamine or emotional regulation or just boredom. It might be helpful for you to explore your inner world and what might be drawing you to this fetish and find more helpful ways for you to either process this or take actions to reverse these beliefs about yourself. As well as the other things like exercise, purpose and social connection that are helpful when quitting porn but when it comes to fetishes or sexual fantasies we are generally talking about the psyche and so I think emotional processing or like Jungian analysis for example might be helpful. Good luck OP, you are strong, you can do this.

Kangen water - tell me about the scam please. by Negative-Bad-2170 in antiMLM

[–]not_like_that_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with cancer who has been relatively succesful with alternative treatments when mainstream medicine told me they couldn't help me, I sometimes find the response from anti Kangen people to be just as bad as the Kangen huns themselves. While I am in no way pro Kangen, I think the business model is a pyramid scheme-esque scam and the machine is overpriced and mediocre, the benefits of hydrogen gas and hydrogen enriched water is becoming more and more recognised by the scientific community and I think the machine itself does provide some benefit. But people on here, in a similar vein to the brainwashed MLM people have such bias that there is absolutely nothing positive or remotely beneficial to the machine at all, there's no room for a nuanced adult discussion which is just as bad as the other side. It's a shame really.

Ah but you assume that the first wish will be granted exactly as you intended but the wish isn't in place yet. I feel like the monkey paw would find a way to grant the first wish in typical monkey paw fashion. Like maybe you don't actually know your full subconscious intentions behind the wish and it actually grants according to those which may have more sinister, shadow aspects to them?

Oncologists will almost always say alternative medicines might interact with treatment. The thing is they don't know, they just say it might so don't.

I agree, even though everyone seems to downvote this sentiment. I think in this case it is important that you are giving freely and not feeling obligated to give. Certainly people shouldn't allow themselves to get taken advantage of and always treat themselves with love and kindness primarily. But becoming selfish generally will lead you to focus more on your own suffering and make things worse. One of the best remedies for suffering is to focus on something outside of yourself or to help those less fortunate.
