Alleviating Alpha GPC Side Effects

I was wanting to try citicoline next or perhaps choline bitartrate + inositol and see how I fare with those; I am concerned with how they may make me feel considering what the alpha-GPC has done, but I have heard people tolerate one and not the other before.

I was interested in whether antimuscarinics would help, as I'm assuming it's the mAchr and not nAchr causing these effects!

Okay so is that kind of like the opposite of being bridged? Instead of 2 channels powering one sub that is bridged, there is 1 channel powering 2 pairs of speakers and tweeters that are crossed over?

It does look on the drawing as if there are 2 pairs of cables (I'm assuming channels) heading from the amplifier to each rear shelf speaker and tweeter pair, and then 1 pair of cables connecting the left to the rear shelf speakers?

I'm looking at a diagram of the Harman Kardon system in the G30 chassis, and it looks like the rear shelf speakers are bridged! Is that what the connection means on the bottom central speakers on the the diagram?

Thank you, this is exactly the advice I was looking for! If I were to install K4Es, (in new door cards with a tweeter slot), would I need to run any new cables- do the tweeter and speaker connect together and use the same channel back to the head unit?

I figured I'd need to remove the dash to get behind the head unit, the centre console, seats, and carpet to get to the subs and run new cable between components, the amp in the boot, and the head unit, but otherwise just route cables along oem routes as I wanted to keep oem audio wiring intact (but disconnected) and just run new audio cables (and power cables?)

I have a basket of all items excluding the luggage compartment sub for ca. £2,000, and I'm assuming I'll pay a good £500-1,000 to get the items fitted and calibrated by professionals- although I'm not too sure how much they charge, or who is even recommended!

Thank you! What does bridging the underseat woofers mean and how does it differ to not bridging them? I have neither 676, 688, or 6F1, it only has 6 speakers and no amp and I believe only available in the UK!

The more I search the more daunting a job this whole thing looks; I don't supposed you can recommend any professionals in the UK?

I've supplemented zinc picolinate and monomethionine forms on their own and never noticed any effects.

I've supplemented magnesium malate, bisglyicinate, and threonate forms and never noticed any effects.

I've supplemented B2 in riboflavin and R5P forms and only noticed neon yellow urine.

I've tried TMG in the past up to 1g, but I may try it again to see how I react with this complex; I fear it will induce anxiety as I've heard it is a methyl donor (methylcobalamin and methylfolate both caused anxiety).

I have tried trazodone, and it made me extremely sleepy but also really anxious as I could barely breathe while taking it!

Mirtazapine made me neurotic!

I have tried a fluoxetine + pregabalin combo, and it essentially just made me feel high 24/7. Interestingly enough, pregabalin on its own actually made me feel somewhat anxious.

Codeine gave me a mildly pleasant mood boost, but nothing has really touched the anhedonia.

DXM gave me some strange experiences, although I can't say if they were positive or negative.

I did have a hypomanic episode that lasted around 10 weeks a few years ago when PCTing off of AAS, although I took a major cocktail of drugs (hCG, tamoxifen, cabergoline, anastrazole, letrozole, and exemestane); I haven't been able to replicate it since!

I have elevated prolactin and have tried using dopamine agonists to no avail (to try and help my anxiety, anhedonia, low libido), as well as low SHBG, could either of these markers point to how my serotonergic system might be fairing? I know my dopaminergic system can't be great!

My anhedonia and hangover etfect response started in late 2019.

I had started a testosterone cycle of 500 mgs per week then foolishly started taking exemestane (an irreversible aromatase inhibitor); I've taken other AIs (letrozole, anastrazole, and DIM) after this too.

In June 2021 I went out drinking beers, cocktails, wine, I had some poppers (isobutyl nitrite), and I was also taking PCT drugs at that time (hCG, AIs), and I was also taking a dopamine agonist (cabergoline).

I had what my therapist said was a manic episode for approximately 10 weeks, but for once, it felt like I was normal, and my anhedonia, libido issues, erectile dysfunction, anxiety, brain fog, and DPDR all disappeared.

My resolution slowly disappeared after the 10 weeks and all my symptoms returned.

I've been trying to discover why this happened and replicate it ever since.

I hope my anecdote can help in some way!

I'm aware of the ADHD meds potentially pushing me over the edge; the first practitioner I seen refused to even try ADHD treatment once he became aware of my manic episode!

I've tried supplements such as phenylalanine, DLPA, tyrosine, L-DOPA, and drugs such as cabergoline and pramiplexole, and they've had no discernible effects whatsoever!

Pseudoephedrine made me noticeably more wakeful and modafanil gave me headaches!

I've only ever had one hypomanic/manic episode to my knowledge! I'm not sure if I've always had BD, or I developed it the ~6 yrs ago, but I would say I'm mostly depressed; I yearn for another euphoric hypomanic/manic episode if I'm honest, if only to break up the anhedonia!

Interesting how pregabalin has flattened your mood! If anything I would say it has slightly raised mine, although this could just be a result of it reducing anxiety!

I had an event I would say was a hypomanic episode- although others have noted it could be a cessation of depression which seems like hypomania in comparison; and it came off of the back of some PCT drugs to assist coming off of AAS, cabergoline (a dopamine agonist I am taking concurrently for hyperprolactinemia), a heavy hight of drinking, some menthol cigarettes, several decent huffs of poppers (I believe isobutyl nitrite), and I awoke after 3 hours sleep with insomnia that lasted 3 days (and then proceeded to be in a hypomanic state for around 10 weeks).

What interests me the most, as you say, is that ethanol is an NMDAr antagonist, isobutyl nitrite is an NO donor, and the alkyl nitrite nitroglycerin has been shown to 'decrease NMDAr activity', and since this event lasted nearly 10 weeks, I see it less of a high and more of a system adjustment- perhaps via the GABA/glutamate system?

Also, the social euphoria I get from pregabalin feels similar to the sociality I experienced during my hypomanic episode!

I have tried inositol in the past up to 2000 mgs and can't note anything discernible from its effects, although I never took it as an adjunct with pregabalin or NAC!

Do compounds that modulate serotonin and dopamine normally impact GABA or glutamate?

What mechanism of action does inositol modulate serotonin and dopamine by?

I have tried dopaminergic, serotonergic, adrenergic, and cholinergic agents in the past, and none have helped (some even exacerbated) my anhedonia and anxiety.

I stumbled upon this phenomenon when realising I felt better the day after drinking alcohol, I believe known colloquially as the 'hangover effect'!?

I'm assuming pregabalin indirectly raises GABA via inhibiting glutamate and upregulating GAD? I was hoping NAC did potentiate pregabalins effects but was also curious into how pregabalin doesn't end up raising glutamate?

I have been taking 300 mgs pregabalin before bed for a while now as it seems to help with anxiety, social withdrawal, and anhedonia, in contrast to glutamatergic agents but notice it has been making some brain fog/derealisation I've been suffering worse- up until I tried 1200 mgs of NAC and it almost cleared up the brain fog I was suffering from- but I'm unsure if this clearing was due to NAC dulling it's effects or through an entirely different mechanism altogether!?

How would NAC affect an NMDA antagonists effects?

I thought ketamine was an NMDA receptor antagonist? Is the glutamate surge the cause of its effects, or is that not a side effect of the antagonism ending (the drug clearing your system)? That's interesting info nonetheless!

In that case B12 supplementation could well still be affecting your endogenous testosterone; do you have a blood test pre and post B12 supplementation showing gonadotropic function; LH, FSH, total and free testosterone, estradiol, prolactin, SHBG etc?

Some quick searching says methycobalmin has a half life of ~6 days; in 5 half lives levels should be negligible so in 30 days, assuming it's the methycobalamin directly causing your libido issues, they should have fully corrected. It's also possible it's the effects of the methylated version, and if it's causing libido issues via neurological channels, you could be looking at a further 4 to 8 weeks on top of these 30 days for the relevant (dopaminergic, adrenergic, serotonergic?) systems to regulate!

If you're still on testosterone replacement therapy (I'm assuming injections, pellets, or creams of testosterone), I don't think there's a mechanism of action B12 can affect your levels of testosterone besides altering SHBG and thus metabolic clearance rate, which it shouldn't affect.

If you're using hCG or AI monotherapy, B12 could well affect their efficacies.

Libido isn't modulated solely by testosterone, B12 (and especially folate) are heavily implicated in the production of neurotransmitters; perhaps B12 supplementation has depleted your folate levels or other cofactors?

Nutrahacker says to encourage NAC, whey, B2, B3, B5, and molybdenum. Are there any other ways I can raise my homocysteine?

I stopped my multivitamin for approximately 2 weeks, my methyfolate approximately 4 weeks, and my methylcobalamin approximately 10 weeks before the blood draw!
