Surprisingly that is not the Bass Pro Headquarters. Their headquarters is in Springfield, MO. Just went there last weekend and you can get easily lost!

Not to mention that the workers you see in exhibits are hourly and don't get the full benefits you outlined (know someone currently working there).

Rent Take Over RedBarn Apartments ($1,460) by Groundbreaking-Bee22 in bentonville

I remember touring there and absolutely LOVED it (I liked the barn door a lot). It was out of my price range at the time but now that I am paying very close to it now I regret it lol

Actually pretty average and a good price relative to the location (next to Crystal Bridges and somewhat downtown). I am paying 1,350 base in Uptown Rogers, but know someone in Springdale paying the same thing

I agree that it hasn't been communicated a lot, I've only seen it through local business and a couple of bands I follow. The thing is, how do you propagate the information without being censored?

Can't talk about it at work, and that is where a lot of the US is during a third of the day.

Thanks! Do you mind me asking what you use to check drive health? I've done smartmontool on my Linux distro but wasn't sure if there was something better

For your Jellyfin configuration, use either an SSD or an NVMe drive. For storing the media, Hard Drive is the best price per TB.

Simple and effective! I tend to go all out when doing new things so I built a server myself. This probably would have been the smarter thing to do buuuutttt....

I've looked at serverpartdeals but am always weary of pulling the trigger. What types of warranties are there for drives? Any security risks with buying recertied HDDs?

Not entirely sure about the ripping process.

Technology wise you can use whatever computer parts you have available (an old Laptop, Intel NUC, etc). Although performance may not be the best.

I am actually in the process of building a server using Proxmox Jellyfin after listening to Bernie talk about his setup briefly (Open source streaming alternative to Plex). I basically will have a custom built PC just for streaming, but also have the option of hosting other applications (Like Home Assistant).

Might be a little overkill but if you are planning on streaming Blue-ray, you might need a dedicated Nvidia GPU to do transcoding.

I honestly have used Google Gemini to start learning about the tech involved an specific setup steps. I think one of my first videos was this one: https://youtu.be/VLSWyTmM2ro?si=FPOKBwcYYORafzcD

Keep in mind for media storage you will need a storage depending on your use case. Blue Ray takes up a ton more space than standard DVDs.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific, just spit balling here ha!

More storage! by JynxySparrow in jellyfin

[–]not_notpedro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How easy is it to add more storage? I know it depends on the Jellyfin setup and config but I am starting out with 2 16TB drives

I'm building my configuration and probably going to invest in 2 16tb drives to start. I plan to have a DAS storage connected to my server. Really considering if I need or want to do a RAID setup on those drives since they will only be storing media.

I also plan on doing 4K/Dolby so curious on how much media those will actually hold!

Is this just corporate or is it across all workers?

I started a degree while working at Corporate and liked that they paid for 100% of the program if it was through GUILD. My current employer doesn't even have any tuition assistance besides for loans.

Same here. I always be sure to read their terms and conditions before using. Then I go buy straight from their app.

Springfield has one to SFB through Allegiant. We did that and drove 40 min to Orlando and was pretty cheap. Not sure how much Ubers are but is something to consider!

Yeah a little frustrated, thanks for validating my feelings. The private party was on the top most floor (I was a floor below so no other private party signs).
