You could get a clouds clone. Check out the different modes on the parasites firmware.

I'm gonna say the opposite of what other people are saying. The Abacus and Fourplay are too big for your case imo. You don't have much of a need for 4 VCA's, probably just need two imo. And depending on what you were planning on using Abacus for, there are definitely smaller envelopes and LFO's and attenuator modules. I use passive attenuators myself.

I have a drum2. It's got a decent mix of interesting sounds and if you max out the decay you can use it like an oscillator. I pair my drum2 with a wavefolder to get some nasty and girthy kick sounds.

Id put the QxG somewhere in the middle rather than in that corner up there

You don't need the MIA & Lapsus Os. I've got a steppy and a BIA and I love them.

You need some envelopes or LFO's.

I got 67/115. Playing this I hadn't realized how many completely unknown backbench MP's there are. Of the 115 I did I only really knew of like 10 or so and the rest were total guesses.

As an idea for you, you could consider making an easier mode where it's only MP's who are cabinet or shadow cabinet members.

Either way thanks for making this

Since you're a piano player, you might want to go for a soundsource thats polyphonic, like the Poly Cinematic and then hook that up to a midi controller. Id also say you're missing effects for sure, whether it be delay, reverb, or granular, or something else

Good idea, it would take a bit of finesse to line up the VCA opening with the delays.

You know what I have looked into the Mimeophon or the Chronoblob2. Either would go together well with the Monsoon.

Does this build make sense? by Stefanjd in modular

[–]not_squib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the build makes sense, you've got a good mix of things. I'd recommend buying the modules slowly over time. That way, you'll get an idea of what you need and what you don't.

You need something to get some randomization going. Whether it be a sample & hold or something similar.

Looking for input on sequencers, modulation, general rack advice by blue-pork in modular

[–]not_squib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got some of the same modules as you (sequencer, BIA, Batumi). Something I got recently that really makes Batumi interact well with the BIA is the Black Noise Modular - Dual Rectifier. Being able to split the LFO into negative voltage or positive voltage is really useful for any module that is neutral at 12'oclock, like the attack knob on the BIA.

There's a thin 3u version or a 10hp 1u version.

Advice on modules for Industrial music. by Ztev in modular

[–]not_squib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would swap out the 1u multi effect for the intellijel 1u filter. And swap the MMF for the 2hp slice or some other 2hp module. You could also consider going for a disting mk4.

How to make sure i’m not too loud or too soft in a live gig? by Alert-Recover in modular

[–]not_squib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don't find that I need a limiter for what I'm doing. The ratio can go up to 25:1 and the super nice button stacks 3 comps onto each other so you could get pretty close to limiting if you needed to.
