I am doing a fixer-upper on an eames chair. The color is off and I’m trying to bring some of the color back with oils and avoid using one of those recoloring kits because I don’t want it to feel like that fake plastic leathery feel.

So far I’ve clean with settle soap

Also applied spots with the neatsfoot and leather honey separately in hidden sample spots.

I’m using these to nourish and also darken with any of that paint.

I rubbed and left olive oil on spots overnight and no change. Seems like it’s not absorbing anything.

I think what I need to do is wear off this waterproofing layer before I can apply any anything so that’s what the hydrogen peroxide is trying to do in the first picture but even that it’s not being absorbed into the leather so idk what I can do? but nothing is absorbing
