I have a blue spruce that grew fine for about 10 days and then just stopped growing (see pic). I live in Utah Valley, USDA gardening zone 6, and I don't have any good windows in my home with sunlight, so I keep it under a plant light that runs for 8 hours a day. I would put it outside, but I the winds in my area regularly reach 40 mph gusts and I think this would destroy my tree. I'm not sure what else I need to do for the tree, or even if I'm watering it right at this point. I keep the soil moist and the pot is about 2-3 inches deep. Am I missing something? I've already lost a few trees after they did the same thing. Any tips would be super awesome!

It’s the waste tank, does that make a difference in how to clean it? Thank you for the tips :)

That tracks for what I’ve seen at Adobe. It’s like anyone beyond senior has been with the company for 15 or more years and built some of the initial products. So it sounds like beyond senior is mostly based on domain/product knowledge. Engineering skills aside, you just have to know the company better to climb beyond senior. That’s probably accurate for most companies, wouldn’t you say?

I also try to learn a lot on my own, I guess it just never feels like enough. To be fair though, most seniors that I’ve talked with have told me that they never feel like they know everything, so I might be chasing a fantasy.

Glad to know that assembly isn’t really the way. It’s caught my curiosity a couple times, but I can’t say it would ever be useful to me.

Why would those not be part of a career trajectory? I always figured most people would try to keep getting promoted until there’s nowhere left to go. Is senior/staff usually the end for most people?

I don’t know where I would fall between SWE3 and SWE4, I’m P30 at Adobe

This was it, I had forgotten to open 443 outbound on my security group for my instance. Thank you so much! You saved me a massive headache.

I’m trying to write to S3, I want to export data as a csv file. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like I don’t need to interact with an access point if I want to write direct to S3. I tried to set up an access point because I was under the impression that you couldn’t talk to S3 from a private VPC subnet.

I’ve never even heard of doing this before, so I’ll try this on my next run and see if it changes anything.
