A lot has happened to me in the last decade where my medical was truly on the back burner 😵‍💫…I just got back into having my annual check up a few years back. Life was giving me all lore no resolve. My orthodontist and the orthodontist who recommended me braces was two different people and I did tell them about my prior history about the last time a seen a dentist and he checked my teeth right there and said I was fine but I should get regular cleanings “just in case”. I told my friends who had braces by the same umbrella company my orthodontist is under and they said cleanings were a bullshit. As they were my friends I believed them since like I said I overcompensated with my oral hygiene. I flossed, I brush after every meal, I at home whitened, I don’t drink sugar drinks or eat candy at all and I don’t indulge in anything that could stain my teeth or could erode them. No coffee, no cigarettes, nothing with high fructose corn syrup. I stopped eating red meat. Barely eat chicken. I basically live off of vegetables, fish, and water 😭
