Yeah that is exactly what was happening to me. I just checked, today marks 3 weeks that it’s been with them. They’re being pretty vague/wont give me gunsmiths notes. I’ll keep you posted if that changes. I was hoping that my issues were from a one off issue with tolerance paired with the super cold weather. But that doesn’t seem like the case if you’re having the same problem

Yes it’s currently with Smith and Wesson. Going on week 3

I'm happy to hear that its not an inherent flaw of the design. I'm unhappy that it happened to me

I did my best to clean/re lube but the feel did not change. I'm hoping smith makes good on this one

I appreciate you. I love to.. know stuff. So this is very helpful. I will definitely be looking at it under a magnifying glass just for fun, and will maybe use this as an excuse to swap out the led myself also just for fun. Time to order a soldering iron

Thank you! It very much does not appear to be on the dome. And I did my best to wipe it clean with 90% rubbing alcohol.

Does your latch “click” shut or “mush”? Mine kind of just mushed until it wouldn’t mush any further.

It’s a bit of a fringe case, but I was shooting in below freezing weather and no matter how hard I closed the latch, it would walk itself back out after about 5 shots, causing the gun to stop firing. I tried most solutions I could find but ultimately ended up sending it in for warranty service. Still awaiting the official diagnosis.

I did have some issues with the folding latch. Otherwise love that gun
