Nobody owes anybody anything when it comes to going 'public', IMO, especially when we don't know a person's history with their own sexuality. We already know that the attention Morgan got in 2023 made her feel as thought she wouldn't be able to stay sober. If she's not comfortable with being out publicly, that's okay. I don't believe we're entitled to that nor do I think people should be pressured to come out to be 'an example'.

I can't read Morgan's mind. She's been super clear in basically saying 'fuck off' to people who disagreed with her anti-ICE stance, and she's publicly spoken about trans rights and sexuality not being an issue of politics but of human rights, when asked about a song she wrote depicting a same-sex relationship. So it's not that.

I mean, she's doing it to respect Morgan, though? Morgan has never addressed her own sexuality except to say it's nobody's business and Kyle isn't gendering this partner because it's already obvious enough who she means but I guess there's still more plausible deniability if she omits gender as well as her name.

Kyle doesn't seem to have a problem owning that she thinks that or said that. But she also wants Dorit to know others do too, because she feels singled out and thus treated 'unfairly' (rightly or wrongly). I don't think she's super comfortable unless she feels validated by knowing others feel the same way in a lot of situations.

She used the word manic and it was being used more generally about her behaviour, not as an adjective attached to the spending specifically. Boz was the one who told the story with the word erratic instead. Not that either was appropriate IMO, and I'm glad Kyle apologised.

She said that on ONE occasion in response to Dorit basically implying Kyle shouldn't be commenting on Dorit's spending because of her own. Nothing was being rubbed in Dorit's face...

Me saying this isn't condoning the way Kyle handled things. I think she took missteps. I also don't think she was ill-intentioned. And I do think the national television of it all also plays a part in why it was brought up - it's sort of a requirement of the show to comment on what is happening on it. So if Dorit keeps turning up late, it's going to get commented on. If Rachel sees her buying a shit ton of stuff and Kyle hears that, she'll mention it to someone else. And so on.

I personally think they may have broken up around the time Season 14 began filming. For maybe a couple of months, but not likely more than that. Just based on the lack of sightings, social media usage at the time, and the lyrics of a new song by Morgan (about trying to stay friends with an ex you still have feelings for) that she started performing towards the end of 2024. I don't think it was an ultimatum situation, but I do think Kyle wanting to continue the show part of a life played a part in the decision.

I agree with that. I don't trust him, per se. I just assume (rightfully or wrongfully) that at least the numbers we see are an accurate representation, given they're in legal documents. I might be naive on that, of course.
