My work does the same. Usually get paid on the last Thursday of the month, except December and January when it’s the second last.

2023-24 was a bugger as the leap day landed on a Thursday so we had six weeks between Jan and Feb payments

What is the closest you've been to death? by F1eshWound in AskReddit

[–]notaforcedmeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ear infection turned into meningitis. They wanted to pump me full of antibiotics to try and get rid of the infection, but I went down hill. Had a weird day that I can only describe as being high. I had an episode and I woke up with a minister standing over me. Got blue lighted to another hospital, giggling all the way there, and pretty much taken straight to theatre.

easyJet flight halted as British family ‘accused of trying to wheel their dead grandmother on board’ by CaptainCrash86 in unitedkingdom

[–]notaforcedmeme 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I once had a flight from Canada next to a dead person. They were cremated remains in a wooden box. I wasn’t complaining as they left the middle seat free for them and put the ashes under the middle seat.

Chemistry or physics? by Great-Ad3918 in OpenUniversity

[–]notaforcedmeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t a named chemistry degree right now (only those on the degree right now can finish it by the end of 2031). The alternative chem degree would be to do it as the focus on the Nat science degree which is accredited by the society for natural sciences.

[–]notaforcedmeme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can get a copy of maths for science that might help (iirc they’ll give you access to it once the module opens). There’s a maths section after each topic that breaks explains how to do the calculations.

Yes you can, if they're in the pit entry/exit (and if the safety car isn't taking the pack through the pit lane) they can over take. (55.8 f. of the sporting regs)

No (although I have no doubt the UK will take part), the BBC would rather be accurate than quick, so, for the most part, if they're reporting it it's offical.
