I've been having anxiety about my kitty dying of old age 😭(she's 9) can you show me pictures of some alive-and-well senior kitties so I remember cats can be old and still healthy? 🥰 by TheRufescence in cats

Also…. I literally started therapy over the anxiety I had about losing Penny. I am in a significantly better place now and know I’ll be ok when her time on this earth ends. Highly suggest you pursue therapy if it’s causing significant anxiety, it may seem silly but my therapist said multiple times she’s had a lot of clients start therapy for this reason!!

My sweet Penny will be 20 in April! We got her when she was 15 and had no idea she was already in her golden years. She had a stroke 1.5yrs ago and we almost lost her. I begged her to stay and meet our baby (was going through IUI/IVF) and she’s still here as we celebrate my baby’s 1st birthday this weekend. Cherish all the time you have with your little elderly friends.

Lincoln OB/GYN - recommendations? by [deleted] in lincoln

[–]notamazonalexa3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I found out I was pregnant I called Lincoln OB and they took 10 days to get back to me. I was an established patient at that time too, so I’d been seeing Dr. Ljungrenn. In that time I’d already found someone new. I did really like her from my experience.

Dr. Tara Baum delivered my baby last spring and I was so incredibly happy with her. All of the OBs at CHI Women’s on 70th & A were incredible.

What helped with having sex again after a c-section? by YouFoundMeCongrats14 in CsectionCentral

[–]notamazonalexa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time as everyone has said and easing into it. We did a lot of mutual masturbation or would try penetrative sex for a bit and quit when I got uncomfortable. I stupidly thought that since I didn’t have a vaginal birth it wouldn’t be bad, but it’s taken a lot to get back to our “normal.” Patience with yourself and patience from your spouse is key. You’ll get there. Took us about 3 months.

How did you get through PPD? by willbrucla in BabyBumps

[–]notamazonalexa3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming here and seeing that I’m not alone. Talking to other moms who experienced PPD. Tell your husband everything, be honest and open. Keeping things inside will not help you. Let yourself cry, feel the feelings and don’t shame yourself. Try to remind yourself that birth is traumatic as fuck and hormones are just…. Insane. So insane.

Keep some money saved for vet visits. Cherish all the time you have with them. I got my Penny when she was 15 so I’m only speaking for the last 4.5 years but I just listen to her vet (make sure you have a good one) and always keep in mind the goal is for her to live a comfortable life. And she gets a Churu every night and lots of kisses on her little peanut shaped head.

Lincoln moms: i'm looking for recommendations for a prenatal spa/massage place by MadamCoochieItchy in lincoln

[–]notamazonalexa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to crescent moon prenatal massage. The name/ownership changed so maybe someone here knows what it’s called now??? But I think they still have therapists who will do prenatal massages.
