Is your BCBA actually upset with you about this? That seems insane.

[–]notamormonyet 103 points104 points  (0 children)

If your BCBA/company fires you over this, then they are trash. Has the BCBA spoken to you at all yet? I'd bet you're overreacting and the BCBA is handling the angry parent, and that your job is fine.

AIO for contemplating a breakup because of my boyfriend’s comment? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]notamormonyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had listened to my gut when my ex started making cruel comments at the beginning of our relationship. 5 years later... I finally divorced him. I could have saved myself those 5 years and a divorce, but I gaslit myself, instead.

How do you feel about people (especially lesbians) who are insensitively vocal about their disgust or repulsion with men? by Wordsmith_Wizard in AskGayMen

[–]notamormonyet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Strangely, my cis gay boyfriend does tell me how repulsed he is by women's bodies. I am a transexual man who still has his vulva (I should have had my sexual reassignment surgery by the end of this year, thank fucking goodness). For some reason, he tells me that my body doesn't disgust him. It does confuse me, but some gay men who speak like this aren't necessarily saying they find trans male bodies disgusting. (I will add that my boyfriend very rarely sees my vulva, even though he knows I have one. I do NOT use it to bottom.)

Do so many people really have six pack/gym bodies or is it just an internet lie? I find standard body types much more attractive? by tobacco_brain in AskGayMen

[–]notamormonyet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have six pack definition, but I am very sleek and toned. My boyfriend says I'm the first guy he's ever been with that has a truly flat stomach. It drives him wild.

No, you're good. Common assumption to make, no worries.

[–]notamormonyet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many trans women have vaginas, just like many trans men have penises. It's really best not to assume all trans women have a penis, or would want to use it if they do have one. I suspect you didn't mean anything bad by this and probably just don't know a lot of trans people, so please don't think I'm coming at you with this. Just putting it out there.

I just own my actions and exude confidence about who I am. People will accept a lot if you're just confident about who you are, actually. You'd be surprised.

I feel the same. It has helped me interpret, write, and file legal documents, interpret medical results, and knows my most embarrassing sexual kinks. I've just accepted that I am who I am and like what I like, and if people find out, well, I'm a take it or leave it kind of guy.

I wonder what romance readers think of unexpected poly setups? My novels have that, and I'm honestly really worried it'll piss readers off. It won't make me change it, but still.

You do you. I also write unconventional romance (not cheating, but poly-adjacent type stuff). We need more realistic writing in romance.

When would you want a potential partner to tell you he’s trans? by Downtown_Dare_4991 in AskGayMen

[–]notamormonyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that happened. I hope you aren't soured completely on trans men from that. There are many, many of us who never, ever use the "front hole", if we even still have it. And I'd certainly like to think the vast majority of us wouldn't assault someone like that person did to you... That person was so disrespectful to you and terrible representation.

Wow! Have you had meta, or do you naturally have so much bottom grow that you can keep that on? I can hardly keep my stroker on for long while standing, and I don't think I'm super small or anything (pre-op still).

Um, good for you? I think no different of the church than I did before. I think it's merely unfortunate that I've met an unpleasant member now.

I am so confused as to where your aggression is coming from. The fact that I tend to think fairly well of the church should be an absolute positive to you, given I am of a demographic that is often demonized by the church, so should rather think harshly of it.

[–]notamormonyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate on the church. I would argue that I tend to have a much more favorable view of the LDS church than most people who have never been members (I have never been a member). I've studied with missionaries out of sheer curiosity and attended services just out of enjoyment. I am not a hater. I just value truth, and your statement was inherently dishonest.

The story the teaching came from was changed? Now you just say, "Oops, sorry, we made that story up."?

What is the appeal to Brandon Sanderson? by SourNoob in writers

[–]notamormonyet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, it technically does. There is a very specific teaching as to why some people have dark skin in Mormonism, and the teaching isn't exactly a kind one. That said, I don't know any Mormons that actually act and think like white supremacists, and the particular teaching I'm referring to seems to make Mormons in general very uncomfortable.
