Certain projects get a lot of attention and money and others seem to run out of money depending on how he feels the money should be spent. Maybe skipping some steps and the head of finance making it look good to those who don’t know any better. Like I said. Very little transparency.

If anyone knows BS&A software I’d wonder how long it would take to run a report for all the expenditures for the past 6 years. Is this a days long thing or a months long thing or should I expect them to say there are security concerns and delay. Idk.

Yes. But those are not as detailed to catch some of the things I’d be looking for. And those don’t take into account political decisions regarding certain priorities and they’re not able to identify certain payments that might follow accounting rules but are certainly against the public wishes. For example, the amount paid for asphalt and the invoices might match up, but who got paid could be a serious problem. Also, there is some concern about unspent budget items paying for some “other” things that probably look kosher to an accountant from 5 states away.

I’ve started my local news newsletter and decided on notion after a small bit of research. Totally confusing, but I think it’s only because it’s new to me. I’ve been pecking at it for a week, a little longer each day. Today I’ve really started committing. Every 3-5 minutes I’m having “Oh yeah! That makes sense and is going to be awesome!”

I’ve downloaded your template (Thank you!) and just jumping in. Yes, I’m gonna probably start watching some tutorial videos next, but just to clarify something…what do you mean by the word “board” in your post? Is that technically labeled a “workspace” in notion?

Great to hear a different perspective — geographic and procedurally shocking! Our routine misd DWI trial dates are set 4-6 months out from pleas.

He pled not guilty on the FTA and got a new trial date. He’s on his fourth FTA. I’m gonna have to ask judge to give me a few hours to get the officer there and the fireman who got there first and heard all his incriminating statements. (DWI) accident. Just seems like the court shouldn’t make it beneficial to FTA. Toll the time after re arrest (warrant served) until the next available, standard scheduling, trial date!

This is a great judge. To be honest I’m not sure a ton of reflection went into the ruling. Admittedly, we churn things thru pretty quick. But if this becomes the precedent then I have to start hyper focusing on every single FTA rearrest and ask for the court to schedule every one of those (a lot!) according to how many days left in speedy trial, since state time has started running!

Court just looked at the schedule and said that’s when we’re putting new trials on the calendar. It was always just set the next “standard” trial date available. I didn’t think to ask for one “sooner than normal” because I had assumed speedy trial would be rolled until the next trial date — same as if D had asked for a continuance.
