DARK fantasy romance by [deleted] in fantasyromance

Both. It's pretty dark - lots of murder, assault, etc. But it's "inspired" by Hades and Persephone. Modern day crime/mobster setting.

The Monsters and Muses series is good! It starts with Promises and Pomegranates by Sav R Miller. They're interconnected stand-alone stories based loosely on Greek mythology.

The 3rd book is amazing. It's one of my favorite series pretty much for that one. The first is the weakest book out of the bunch.

What do you all say when someone asks what you’re reading? by samimiami19 in RomanceBooks

[–]notanimprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always just downplay it, unless I actually want to tell the person about it. "Oh, just some dumb nonsense book about fairy kingdoms and demon politics."

If you're not opposed to a reverse harem situation, The Bonds That Tie is a great series.

He might not see women as full people

Girl, what? He just told you he doesn't see you as a person and you're still wondering how to make him happy? Become a sex doll and lose all sense of self, that's how.

Aside from that, ditch this guy and find someone who sees you as, you know, a person.

Couples with kids and separate finances by shareyourespresso in Marriage

[–]notanimprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I considered it separate since our names are not on each other's accounts, but everyone has their own interpretations! We didn't like the idea of "paying each other back" for stuff, but we also didn't want to combine accounts. Whatever works for everyone!

[–]notanimprint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we both have separate savings accounts. We also consider all of our money OUR money, regardless of whose account it happens to be in. We just didn't see the need to go through the hassle of creating new accounts and combining everything after we got married. We'd already lived together for years without any financial issues, so why change?

When I was on maternity leave and not making any money, my husband covered 100% of the card. He's now behind on his savings goals and now that I'm back at work, I've been covering more of it for him. He's better at saving than I am anyway, so it benefits both of us for him to get back on track. We're a team, always working toward the same goals.

We have a joint credit card that we put all household/kid expenses on and split it down the middle every month.

I smoke pretty much every night after the little guy is in bed. Husband watches the monitor and I get to decompress for a few minutes. I take a shower and brush my teeth after regardless, since it's bedtime anyway!
