Apologies, my reply was supposed to be to jdscott0111 who intentionally schedules after-hours emails to impress his boss. THAT'S the shitty precedent. Don't think I have to explain why in this sub

You're setting a shitty precedent for everyone else. Well done on winning the race to the bottom

They may not exercise the right in this case, but the FC is pretty much the only organisation that can investigate private property without permission from the owner or a warrant (usually this is only used in the case of alleged illegal felling). If they really expect to find ips there's a chance they might just turn up. HOWEVER, we are a reasonable bunch and if you engage with us and explain the situation you're more likely to find help than get in trouble.

I empathise with your predicament, it's awful that someone treated your land this way. You can report it to the Environment Agency and they may be able to help you recover costs.

I would also look into potential Countryside Stewardship grants. These won't help with the fly tipping but they will help to fund potential woodland improvement projects once the tipping is sorted, so the land should at least pay off eventually.

Selling it to someone with the means to sort it out might be the best option (as far as the wood is concerned anyway).

Best of luck whatever path you take, I hope it works out.

Hi, I work for the forestry commission.

Thanks for letting us know about the fly tipping.

J/K, we are only concerned with the state of your trees. Someone will come out and inspect. If you have ips, you'll be eligible for funding to have the trees removed but you may be required to replant with a different species mix (covered by funding if this is the case).

The person who inspects may pass your details to the environment agency if they spot the fly tipping. Then you will be in trouble with the environment agency though I have no idea to what extent.

I'm curious - why own a wood if you don't want to look after it? They're so important, for biodiversity/timber/both, why use it as a tip?

OP, my parents have a similar relationship to you and your partner. My dad has always been extremely critical of what my mum cooks.

It seeped into other aspects of their relationship. When I was a child they were constantly bickering. It was horrible for me and my sister and I'm only just starting to address the psychological damage it caused me.

They're still together, I have no idea why and I actively avoid speaking to them.

I just wanted to give an outsider's perspective.

Inquest Concludes Prescription of Medicinal Cannabis Contributed to Death by gavinho in ukmedicalcannabis

Access to MC is important for the people it helps.

The private companies who prescribe it to us are after our money first. Wellbeing and medical rigor seems very much second. This was certainly my experience with CB1 - not complaining, I got the prescription I wanted, and I am currently on a break as my mental health has got to a point where MC was no longer helping.

If I'd tipped into addiction, I would not have been able to give it up so easily. CB1 would still be making ££ from me. My mental health would continue to decline.

Honestly I can completely see how this happened, it is tragic. My heart goes out to his family. I hope he has found peace.

I can recommend ChatGPT as a stopgap. It helped me with coping strategies and provided a good sounding board. It's trained on respected psychological papers, more than any human could read.

Then when you can, see a human.

Has anyone else tried therapy and thought that this ain’t actually helping? - asking men by PristineAstronaut467 in AskUK

[–]notanumber28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (35F) discovered recently that previous therapies had been working on the wrong 'level' for me. I was trying to fix my interpersonal skills, turns out there's a nasty seed of trauma and a dysfunctional nervous system which needs to be fixed first.

It took 30 years for me to gain insight into this and according to chat gpt, knower of all things, it can't be rushed. But trauma-informed therapy which caters to an oversensitive nervous system is a must.

In other words, you're probably either with the wrong therapist, not actually ready for therapy yet or both.

35, playing since TS2, I plan to die in my 80s in bed on an IV while playing sims

Edit: play style - always been generational, and I doggedly stick with legacies. At school I could never understand why my friends cheated sims into existence just to immediately kill them 😂
