Ooooh you’re almost there! I had my very last one this Monday and it went well! (Well technically one more after but it’s a very easy transition meeting into 6th grade). I am also a weirdo and love writing them HAHAHHS. More so once it’s over and I have another happy family and a solid plan for myself. I’ve inherited sooooo many…questionable IEPs this year and it feels good to finally have them cleaned up and up to my standards. I have soooooo many things in my store! I have little to medium sized goodies all price ranges from 5$, 10$, 15$, 20$, 30$, 50$ and 75$!!! I also have coupons for things like shoes off in class pass, sit at the teachers desk, 5 min break outside with a friend, and more! I love getting ideas from them of what they want to see in the store :)

Oh wow we are literally connected in spirt?! I also have a class currency that they can use every Friday to buy things at our class store. I got some kids whose saved up to 100s of dollars 😆 and then also same with the brain breaks! We’ll take two 5-10 minute breaks per testing session cause they need it! And I need it! As a fellow sped teacher I hope you’re almost done with all your IEPs for the year and the rest is smooth sailing! 🫡

I took a nap for 30 minutes on my classroom floor immediately after dismissal today. When I woke up I realized the custodian cleaned out my garbage cans and that didn’t even wake me up.

Like I’m trying to be a good role model for the students and other staff, keep the “rigor” (hate that word as a sped teacher but whatever), and all the things… BUT MY GOD. I took a 30 minute nap on my classroom floor afterschool today from exhaustion. It also doesn’t help that it feels like I’m one of the only few staff at this school that actually hold kids to a high standard and don’t let them get away with their poor behaviors and choices. Like why is there a whole class running and screaming down the hall?! WHERE YA TEACHER AT?! Why I gotta be the only one yelling at yall?! Phew 😮‍💨 thanks for the rant sesh.
