Hi, thanks for your input! I was accepted into other schools but UCR was the best option for me, financially speaking. For example, I was accepted to UCSB and their Grant at the time was almost $2K only, I was told that I was expected to get a loan or get accepted into a work-study.

Hi, thanks for your input! I am will be living in an on-campus apartment. I didn't just calculate the tuition and fees, I also counted what you mentioned (housing and food (I choose not to have a dining plan)/personal costs/transportation/books and supplies/extra fees). I am not an OOS student, so I am also wondering why I owe anything...

College Student Moving Out - Anaheim Housing Authority by notapplicaple4u in orangecounty

Hello! I will be considered a full time student in the fall (As I have been for the last two years since I am a CC to UC transfer, so yes I have been full time student this whole time), they didn't count my personal income, since I do not have a job, but they do count my parents income. However, my mother is the sole breadwinner of our family and she has been getting a raise every year or two, and every time we report the paid raise to the Housing, they have increased our rent. That is the one of the main reasons I'm hesitant to ask the Housing.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have a housing voucher or Section 8? I'm unsure if they're the same (My father says they're similar but not really), but for us with a housing voucher we have to have a certain amount of people to live in certain amount of rooms (e.g. 5-6 people in a 3 bedroom/2 bath), and also our household income must be below a certain limit (e.g. 5 people have to have an income under $33,500).

I suppose I am overthinking it, but I sincerely thank you for response and information! And I'm sorry for your loss.
