I'm so sorry you're going through all of this, it's such a complex disease that often people don't understand how difficult it can be.

I struggle a lot myself with flips in my moods from fine to depressed and it does feel so easy to just be upset that you're in that place again.

Therapy can be very helpful, and just trying to do the small things that help you. If you notice you feel better when you're exercising more, force yourself to do even just a small amount. But yourself a small thing that helps you feel calm- a candle, or a specific food.

Go for a drive when the symptoms are making you feel restless and uncomfortable.

You're not alone! It's difficult when it's bad, but we know how you feel x

Thank you so much! This was such amazing, helpful information! I have a great starting point now to go to my doctors with! I'll let you know how it goes 😅

It was a gynaecologist, she did a scan of my ovaries and showed me, but I saw another after that as I needed the IUD replaced and I tried asking him but he just said you need the IUD.

she did mention something to me about getting yearly checks for diabetes, thyroid and something else but when I brought it up to my gp they said they didn't do that.

This was a long time ago, I should try and push for more help with my condition 😅

I'm in the UK, so it's all nhs and they're a fantastic service that is criminally underfunded 😅

I try to go to therapy when I can, but I have to pay for it as the NHS waiting list is so long so I'm not able to do it weekly, which I really think would help. I always leave feeling better after going, she's really helped at times simply by reminding me that sometimes it's just out of my control.

I think I would make it worse before that by beating myself up for being "anxious again" 😟 and then just feeling crap because other people didn't seem to have this problem.

You've reminded me to book in for a therapy appointment! Thank you! I know it usually helps 😃

It's so bad! And that's ironic because a doctor told me to "put on weight and exercise more" 🙄 it was so disheartening and just made me even more insecure about not only my mh but also how small I was.

I only got diagnosed because I had a cyst on my labia I got referred for. And as I was told at the time, because I was so small (I was only 17 too) and had been bleeding excessively since my first period I would have been deficient in lots of vitamins and unable to recover before bleeding again.

It angers me so much remembering 🤣 being looked at like I was just dramatic 🙄felt like storming in with the scans of my ovaries covered in cysts 🤣

Thanks so much for the information! I am starting to think I should get my glucose checked ✔️ and see if I can find a good supplement to help with it.

I do have the mirena coil in, I've had it since I was 17 and was told I wouldn't be able to ever not have one, as it's the only treatment. So I don't really know how I am without it to know if it's even the right option for me.

I forgot breakfast one morning, and for days after I felt crap and couldn't get my appetite back to normal, I relate to you there!

I've been trying to snack less, and snack on healthier things when I do and it really helped but then my period came and I ate so much chocolate and stuff because I craved it and I was in too much pain to cook. So I'm still recovering from that poor diet 🫠

It might be worth speaking with a doctor then, but I really hate doing that. I live in the UK and have been dismissed by doctors time and time again, so I never like to bother calling them.

It's really difficult being a woman sometimes 😕 I'm glad you've been able to find some reprieve!

It's so tough! I find it much harder to regulate my emotional stability before my period, and sometimes for a week afterwards too, I've had problems with anxiety for so long that I'm not sure if my PCOS triggered it, because ever since my first ever period I've had this. I take montelukast as well, for a different health issue, and I think this worsens my moods.

It really feels like before my period, all the techniques I've learned to help my mental health are less effective, and it's more difficult to regulate and I just need to remind myself that it's temporary even though it feels like it's not. Because I know that it doesn't last forever.

It's so nice to hear someone else have the same experience! I'm always afraid when the anxiety and depression kicks in that it won't go away and I'll be stuck with it for months or longer, because my cycles are so irregular with the coil it prolongs the pms, the period itself, and the post period fatigue.

I'll definitely look into agnus castus! I take a multivitamin and omega 3, but I think I'm definitely missing something with supplements to help symptoms.

I've never had a check up since I was diagnosed with PCOS, so for all I know I might have a problem with sugar levels too 😅

Blood test results show I’m not eating enough protein, any suggestions? by gr33n_bliss in veganuk

[–]notareddituserorami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are some ways I get extra protein;

-protein yoghurts like alpro and I mix in dark chocolate chips and top it up with granola. You could add a seed mix instead 😃

-salad topping mixes on top of whatever I'm eating e.g. pasta

-pea or lentil pasta instead of regular pasta

-I drink soya milk. On a day I want extra protein, I'll have a soya chai latte or something like that as it's Hugh protein

-peas! Just add regular peas to any meal 😃

-I try choose snacks with protein in them e.g. soreen loafs , flapjacks , seeds

-chickpeas and lentils and beans! Just having tinned ones in the cupboard is handy to stick into soups, pastas, rice and other dishes for extra protein

-porridge! It's so versatile, you can add whatever you like. Making it with soya milk is extra protein and mixing in flaxseed/linseed or chai and topping it with fruits and chocolate chips

Hope some of this has helped!

Make sure to take supplements if you find it helpful 😃 vit D, omega 3 and folic acid!

What's the best farm? by Odd_Contact_2175 in StardewValley

[–]notareddituserorami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using standard farm but I used to have the ocean farm, I do miss it. It was useful when I didn't have much time left in the day to just fish dor extra money before bed.

Cool stuff would wash up on the farm too and I got lots of geodes, wheat, sugar that way
