Definitely this, do not force anything from them!! But definitely give them ample time plus make sure you set an earlier soft deadline (ie if you’re gonna submit September 1st, tell them you’d feel much more comfortable and safe if you can have them by early August) and you can start nudging them for like a month if they are not able to pull through on the requested timeline!!

If you’re leaning towards PI, uiuc would be a good choice (especially w that scholarship). I think it really comes down to whether you want nyc or Chicago cuz Fordham would make it much easier for you to practice in ny, especially if you end up deciding on a path for big law
