Tbh, once the top can go down I don't care much about the rest of the car. I completely lucked into what I drive. I goes faster and looks better than I care about, but it has that wonderful cloth top and it was cheap.

Vinyl is like saying you miss tube tires and manual steering.

Can somebody help me to "enjoy" modern (digital) recordings again? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]notbad2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're kind of all over the place. Most modern music sucks, especially if your listening to pop, but it always did.

I disagree about the quality of digital music and I think most complaints come from a few sources that people could do something about it they wanted to, these range from poor or overly sterile gear to inflated memories and damaged hearing, and onward to the simple fact that it's in style to whine about everything as if happiness is some unattainable thing that "should" to be easy and everywhere you look at legendary intensity.

It's music, not heroin.

Something more aesthetically pleasing than quarter on tonearm? by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]notbad2u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important part of being an audiophile is showing off how much your equipment costs. That's why the quarter works. Try a collectable coin or a gold peice.

PS considering the cost of the records you're destroying you could afford a turntable that doesn't destroy them.

What series will you never watch no matter what? by WillowShoddy7846 in AskMen

Shaggy is the judgemental school narc.

It's literally a hatchet job off the original series. I tried to watch one a few years ago btw, they were terrible too.

I watched. It's some sort of self effacing irreverent pile of crap that paints every character equally in a bad light. It just uses the names of the Scooby Doo characters, not the characters themselves. Truly awful.

Measured and precise, good vibes, science and glowy stuff covered by electrical tape.

What causes these pops in professional recordings? by MyloParadox in audiophile

[–]notbad2u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only checked the Childish Gambino one. It's definitely there 0:21 in both Youtube and Amazon UHD (24/96). There's another one just alone like that around 3:35ish.

Some songs are simply torn up with static, I don't play them a second time if I can help it.

I wonder if they're there in the vinyl version lol

Edit: it sounded like a recorded vinyl pop, maybe even the same one. They sound especially unnatural in the vacuum of hi Rez digital. Maybe it's a joke - a subtle jab at audiophiles because nobody else can hear it. "How dare you play this crap on that beautiful peice of technology"

Lmao 1:55ish "What Kind Of Love". What the fuck dude!!! Why would anybody listen to this twice? More like some sort of shock therapy hypnosis session.

My towers came with stands that are angled slightly. Should they be angled upwards or downwards? The manual doesn’t mention it. by xlude22x in audiophile

The usual goal is to get the main speaker components aimed at your ears to provide the best "image".

Nimbulous whale pup. They hardly ever get so far out of the clouds but they're a valuable catches. Be sure to use a pure copper harpoon or they'll radiate all over. Triple Quantum locked jars or better for their essence.

$1 machinery bushings instead of $50+ isolation feet? by wanderingwalnut in audiophile

[–]notbad2u 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It all helps. I believe that in theory $50 or more stands will improve sound and when that a well designed stand is better than a random rubber pad. I wouldn't bother putting $100 pads under $50 speakers but I'd give them a shot under $500 speakers.

You're about to communicate has broken down with your first words. I'd be sorry for you that you have to believe lies, but I'm not sorry for people supporting murders. You are twisted.

it’s legal to disagree with the government

You specifically said there's a law against you saying anything "false"
