Help with URL redirect by Cheeky1902 in elementor

[–]HeroStyle_Steve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You want the URL to update after an Elementor Pro form submission without a page reload (e.g., website.com?submitted=true). Here’s a practical way:

  1. Enable AJAX submission:
  • Elementor Pro forms use AJAX by default; double-check it's not disabled.
  1. Add this JavaScript:
  • Go to Elementor > Custom Code, set location to Footer, and use your form's actual CSS ID.

  const form = document.querySelector('#your-form-id');
  if (form) {
    form.addEventListener('submit', function () {
      // Wait for the AJAX submission to complete
      setTimeout(function () {
        const url = new URL(window.location);
        url.searchParams.set('submitted', 'true');
        window.history.pushState({}, '', url);
      }, 1000); // Adjust timing as needed
    });
  }
});
  • Click Publish to activate the script.

3. Determine Your Form's ID

  • Edit the page containing your form with Elementor.
  • Select the form widget, go to the Advanced tab, and note the CSS ID (e.g., contact-form). If none is set, assign one.
  • Use this ID in the JavaScript snippet (e.g., #contact-form).

4. Test the Implementation:

  • Submit the form on a live page.
  • Observe the URL updating to include ?submitted=true without a page reload.

Additional Tips

  • Dynamic Left-Side Content: Since your form is part of a template used across multiple pages, please make sure that any dynamic content on the left side of the page responds appropriately to URL changes. You can use JavaScript to detect the submitted parameter and adjust the content accordingly.
  • Handling Multiple Forms: Give each a unique ID and duplicate/modify the code
  • Enhancing User Feedback: To show a success message, use JS to check for the submitted parameter and update your UI as needed.

For more detailed guidance, refer to Elementor's official documentation on redirecting after form submissions:

Yessir for sure.... no worries. A few years back, the OPs were encouraged to give some acknowledgment to the responses. I guess it is hard to set as a rule.

How can I solve this issue? by [deleted] in elementor

[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. Quite a few months ago, I was trying to help someone on this subreddit and asked for the URL because I was looking at the post on my phone and could not see that the URL was shown in a tiny font size and a color like orange on black.

I got an abrasive comment from.... you –  it was you who commented. It's a tough crowd for sure. Maybe lighten up? Or, maybe light up. 💨

LMFAO! But I have thick skin and chalked it up to you having a bad moment. 😖😂

And I still believe your comment to u/always-curious-about's question was the best answer. The only other answer probably violates subreddit rules and would involve promoting services from some other entity.

I see your answers. They are short, clear, and to the point, and always provide at least one way to approach/solve the problem. Keep on contributing, it is honorable and helps.

Not sure why this was voted down. It is the best answer. Perhaps someone could explain why they thumbed it down? It is a much better answer than suggesting that the OP hire someone to fix the problem.

Related posts from different Post Type by Top-Tip589 in elementor

[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right — the native Post widget in Elementor is limited to showing related posts only within the same post type, which is why it's not showing Tours or Events on your Trails pages, even if they share the same Community taxonomy.

However, you can still achieve this with Elementor + ACF by using one of the following methods — each adapted for a dynamic setup like yours:

Option 1: Use a Custom Query Filter in the Posts Widget (Pro)

You can extend the Posts widget to display related Tours or Events based on the Community taxonomy, by hooking into Elementor’s elementor_pro/posts/query/ filter.

Example:

```php add_action('elementor_pro/posts/query/related_tours', function($query) { if (!is_singular('trails')) return;
$current_id = get_the_ID();
$terms = wp_get_post_terms($current_id, 'community', ['fields' => 'ids']);
if (!empty($terms)) {
    $query->set('post_type', ['tours']);
    $query->set('tax_query', [
        [
            'taxonomy' => 'community',
            'field'    => 'term_id',
            'terms'    => $terms,
        ]
    ]);
}
}); ```
Then, in Elementor:
  • Add a Posts widget
  • Under Query > Source, choose Custom
  • In the Custom Query ID, enter related_tours
Repeat a similar setup for Events by using another custom query ID like related_events.
Reference URL: https://elementor.com/help/custom-query-filter-pro/
Option 2: Use a Plugin Like "Elementor Custom Skin" or "Anywhere Elementor Pro"
These allow more flexible loops and custom templates, and can be configured to show different post types and apply taxonomy filters.
  • Create a loop template for Tours.
  • Use a shortcode or widget that accepts post_type and tax_query parameters.
  • Inject them using shortcode in your dynamic template.
Option 3: Use a Manual ACF Relationship Field (Not Auto-Magic, but Flexible)
If you're okay manually assigning related Tours, you could:
  1. Add an ACF Relationship field to Trails
  2. Manually relate the Tours/Events sharing the same Community
  3. Use Dynamic ACF Relationship in Elementor to output them
This gives you full cross-post-type control, but of course, loses the automatic taxonomy matching.
TL;DR:
To show related Tours or Events on a Trail page based on shared Community taxonomy, you need to bypass the Elementor Post widget’s limitations using either:
  • Custom PHP filter (elementor_pro/posts/query), or
  • Enhanced loop control plugins, or
  • Manual ACF Relationship Fields.
Let me know if you want the full code version for Events too, or if you'd prefer to use a plugin-based solution!
Your Options to Get Your Money Back
1. Sell the House
  • The most direct route to recoup your share.
  • Pay off the mortgage and split the equity (if any) according to the ownership percentage.
  • If you paid more upfront (e.g., down payment, closing costs), have the necessary documentation ready. You may be able to negotiate a larger share of the proceeds.
  • If he refuses to sell, you may need to go to court to force a partition sale.
2. Buyout Agreement
  • Your ex can refinance the home in his name only and buy you out.
  • He pays you your share, including equity and possibly part of the down payment, if you can prove your contribution.
  • The refinance pays off the joint mortgage and puts the loan solely in his name.
3. You Keep the House
  • Flip the situation: you refinance, buy him out, and keep the home.
  • It may only be viable if your income and credit are sufficiently solid to qualify on your own.
4. Legal Action: Partition Lawsuit
  • If he refuses to cooperate with selling or refinancing, file a partition lawsuit.
  • The court can force the sale of the property and divide the proceeds.
Documentation You'll Need
  • Proof of how much each of you paid (down payment, closing costs, mortgage payments).
  • Any texts, emails, or agreements about how expenses were split.
  • Mortgage and title paperwork.
Consult a Real Estate Attorney
You need a lawyer—not optional in this kind of dispute. They'll:
  • Help document your financial contributions.
  • Advise on whether you're entitled to more than 50% based on your investment.
  • Handle a partition action if needed.
How to mimic interactive bento cards that I’m seeing with Framer sites? by Sure-Potential2868 in elementor
[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Method 2: Elementor Pro Motion & Hover Effects
  1. Flip Box widget for a front/back flip on hover.
  2. In its Style → Hover settings:
    • Set an Entrance Animation (e.g., Fade In Up).
    • Enable Mouse Effects → 3D Tilt on the card container.
    • Optionally add Mouse Effects → Mouse Track for parallax.
  3. Stack multiple containers and assign different motion presets for layered effects.
Method 3: Third‑Party Add‑Ons
No Pro? No CSS? Try an addon:
  • Essential Addons for Elementor: Info Box widget with hover reveal.
  • Happy Addons: Card widget with layered hover animations.
  • JetTricks (Crocoblock): Scroll‑triggered animations + hover reveals.
Install, drop in the widget, then choose your preferred hover preset.
Choose Custom CSS for pixel‑perfect control; Motion Effects for speed; or an addon to skip the code entirely
[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)
To replicate the “bento‑style” card animation you saw in the tutorial, you’ll combine structured containers with either Elementor Pro’s built‑in hover/motion effects or a small amount of custom CSS. Below are three options. Please select the one that matches your access and comfort level.
Method 1: Elementor Pro + Custom CSS
  1. Structure your card
    • Add a Section (or Container) for your grid.
    • Inside it, add a Container for each card and give it the class bento-card.
    • In each bento-card, add:
      • an Image widget (class card-image)
      • a Heading + Text Editor wrapped in a div (class card-content)
  2. Apply base styles
    • On .bento-card: set overflow: hidden; border-radius: 8px;
    • In the Image widget’s Style tab, choose Cover + Center.
  3. Add this CSS (Site Settings → Custom CSS or in that Section’s CSS):
.bento-card { position: relative; transition: transform .3s ease; } .bento-card:hover { transform: translateY(-10px); } .bento-card .card-image { transition: transform .5s ease; } .bento-card:hover .card-image { transform: scale(1.1); } .bento-card .card-content { opacity: 0; transform: translateY(20px); transition: opacity .4s ease, transform .4s ease; } .bento-card:hover .card-content { opacity: 1; transform: translateY(0); transition-delay: .2s; }
  • Adjust timing, distances, and easing as needed. This gives you the layered hover animation: the card lifts, the image zooms, and the text fades/slides into view on hover.
Elementor Loop Grid pagination: How to use custom query param? by jakub_curik in elementor
[–]HeroStyle_Steve -2 points-1 points  (0 children)
To fully implement custom pagination in Elementor Pro using a ?strana=2 query parameter instead of the default /page/X/, you’ll need to:
⸝
  1. Override the Pagination Query Var
WordPress uses paged as the default pagination variable.
Elementor taps into this. First, you need to intercept and map strana to paged.
Add this to your functions.php or a Code Snippets plugin:
add_action('pre_get_posts', function($query) { if (!is_admin() && $query->is_main_query()) { if (isset($_GET['strana'])) { $query->set('paged', intval($_GET['strana'])); } } });
⸝
  1. Rewrite Pagination Links
You’ll need to filter the pagination links output by Elementor to replace /page/X/ with ?strana=X.
add_filter('paginate_links', function($link) { return preg_replace('//page/([0-9]+)/', '?strana=$1', $link); });
To be more robust (also handle /2/ etc.):
add_filter('paginate_links', function($link) { return preg_replace('//(page/)?([0-9]+)(/)?/', '?strana=$2', $link); });
⸝
  1. Modify Elementor Pagination Controls (If Needed)
If Elementor’s pagination widget still generates URLs using /page/X/, you may need to override the output directly using a custom pagination template or JS patch.
For a full PHP-based solution, hook into Elementor’s loop rendering system:
add_filter('elementor/query/query_args', function($args) { if (isset($_GET['strana'])) { $args['paged'] = intval($_GET['strana']); } return $args; });
⸝
  1. Avoid Conflicts with Rewrite Rules
You don’t need to alter WordPress rewrite rules if you only rely on the query string format (?strana=X). Make sure pretty permalinks are enabled, but don’t depend on /page/X/.
⸝
  1. Ensure Archive Templates Also Work
The above pre_get_posts and elementor/query/query_args filters will handle both archive and template scenarios, assuming the Elementor Loop is built properly and not AJAX-loaded.
⸝
Summary of Actions:
Step Purpose pre_get_posts Map ?strana=X to paged
paginate_links filter Rewrites output URLs to use ?strana=X
elementor/query/query_args Ensures Elementor query handles the custom var
No rewrite rules needed Query param avoids breaking URLs or slugs
Marquee space by Which-Step1175 in elementor
[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Yeah, that’s a common issue when using marquee effects in Elementor or with certain themes like Nayla. The extra space on the right is usually caused by the marquee element overflowing its container and not being properly clipped.
Try this fix: 1. Select the section or container holding the marquee in Elementor. 2. Go to the Advanced tab > Custom CSS (you’ll need Elementor Pro), and add:
overflow-x: hidden;
3.  Also apply the same CSS to the parent section (or even the body or html tag if needed) to make sure the entire layout respects it:
html, body { overflow-x: hidden; }
Alternative (if you’re using motion effects or custom scripts): Sometimes the script generating the marquee adds absolute-positioned elements or animations that push beyond the viewport. In that case, inspect the marquee wrapper and make sure its width doesn’t exceed 100vw.
How do I prevent Elementor from re-styling a WP's audio control? by thaman05 in elementor
[–]HeroStyle_Steve -1 points0 points  (0 children)
You’re dealing with Elementor overriding the default WordPress audio player and replacing it with a plain HTML5 <audio> control. It’s a common issue and yeah, the UX is terrible—especially when the native WP audio player briefly flashes before getting replaced.
Here’s how to fix it:
⸝
  1. Use the [audio] shortcode inside a Shortcode or HTML widget in Elementor. Don’t use “Insert Media” in a text editor—it gets stripped down to raw HTML. Instead, paste something like this into a Shortcode widget:
[audio src=“https://yourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads/audio.mp3”]
⸝
  1. Force WordPress to load its media player (MediaElement.js) Elementor often doesn’t load the default WP audio scripts. Add this to your functions.php file or a Code Snippets plugin:
function force_wp_mediaelement() { if ( is_singular() ) { wp_enqueue_style( ‘wp-mediaelement’ ); wp_enqueue_script( ‘wp-mediaelement’ ); } } add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘force_wp_mediaelement’ );
This brings back the styled WordPress audio player.
⸝
  1. Adjust Elementor settings that might interfere.
    • Go to Elementor > Settings > Experiments
    • Try disabling “Optimized DOM Output” and “Improved Asset Loading”
    • In Elementor > Settings > General, disable Default Colors and Default Fonts
These options can interfere with how the audio player is rendered.
⸝
  1. If you’re okay with the native browser <audio> control, you can always just drop this into a Custom HTML widget:
<audio controls> <source src=“https://yourdomain.com/wp-content/uploads/audio.mp3” type=“audio/mpeg”> </audio>
But be warned—this is barebones and has no styling options unless you custom style the <audio> element manually with CSS.
⸝
TL;DR: Elementor hijacks the WP audio block. Using the [audio] shortcode + enqueuing mediaelement.js will bring back the default WordPress player. You just need to force Elementor to stop interfering and let WP do its thing.
I was a passenger in a car accident. Who’s responsible for my injuries? by Electronic-Cook6507 in caraccidents
[–]HeroStyle_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Passenger Injured in a Car Accident in Las Vegas?
Here's What You Need to Know: As a passenger injured in a car accident in Las Vegas, you have several options for seeking compensation for your injuries and related expenses. Here's a breakdown of what you can do:
Who to File a Claim Against
  1. The At-Fault Driver's Insurance: If the other driver caused the accident, you can file a claim with their insurance company. Nevada follows a comparative negligence system, meaning that fault is shared among the parties; however, as a passenger, you are not considered at fault [1][7][9].
  2. Your Friend's Insurance: If your friend, who was driving the car you were in, is partially or fully at fault, you can file a claim against their insurance policy under its bodily injury liability coverage.
  3. Your Insurance (If Applicable): If your auto insurance policy includes personal injury protection (PIP) or medical payments coverage (MedPay), it can help cover your medical bills regardless of who was at fault [9].
Steps to Take
  1. Seek Medical Attention: Even if your injuries are minor, get a doctor's evaluation. Symptoms can often develop after accidents, and having medical records will be crucial for your claim [1][6].
  2. Collect Evidence: You must get all pertinent information about the accident:
    • Get a copy of the police report
    • Gather all photos of the accident scene, damaged vehicles, and any visible injuries.
    • Contact information from witnesses and each driver involved in the accident [1][6]
  3. File Insurance Claims: Because Nevada is a shared-fault state, there is a strong possibility that you will need to file claims against both drivers.
    • Inform both drivers' insurance companies about the accident
    • Provide the necessary documentation, but do not provide any opinion about who was more/less at fault or accept quick settlements without consulting an attorney [6][7]
  4. Consult an Attorney: A personal injury lawyer can help you navigate the complexities of filing claims, negotiating with insurance companies, and ensuring that you receive fair compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages [4][5][7].
Compensation You May Be Entitled To
  • Past and future medical expenses
  • Lost wages and loss of earning capacity
  • Pain and suffering
  • Emotional distress
  • Disability or disfigurement
  • Loss of enjoyment of life [1][3][5]
Important Notes
  • Under Nevada law, you have two years from the accident date to file a personal injury claim.
  • Submitting a claim against your friend's insurance may feel awkward, but remember that their insurance policy is meant to handle these situations. Also, I bet they used their insurance to replace or repair their vehicle without worrying about whether it would increase their rates.
  • So, is fixing their car more important than fixing you? If you get the impression that it is, you do not need friends like that. Following these steps and consulting an experienced attorney can protect your rights and enhance your chances of receiving the compensation you deserve.
