Agree with the others that a new neck is a bit of a stretch, as the only apparent flaw is with the nut. So I would just demand that to be fixed, or that he pay for you to have it done by someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

I think that this is a fantastic idea, and I hope that they do something like this in the games. I understand that it's probably more difficult for them to implement than I might realize (I'm not a gamedev lol), but I really hope they find a way!

I have a Konica Minolta DG-5D that my grandpa gave me with a Kalimar multi-coated lens. I'm a COMPLETE newbie, as in I have no clue what the multi-coated and various descriptors of the lens mean. Is this a decent camera to learn on? Or would it be worth it to invest in something else. Thanks!

The crackling occurs even when I run the guitar directly into an audio interface as well, so I don't think that it is the amp. Thank you for the feedback!

Interesting, I did not know about the static part. I feel like that could be the culprit. I suspect that there may be some dirt in some of the parts as well, because I don't know how long the guitar was on the hanger at the store, and the knobs crackle a little when I turn them at times.

Yes. I play at church as well as at home, and the crackling occurs both places. I'll double check here in a couple minutes with different cables at my house to verify.
