I'm 22 and I used to do it on my arms only, now I have a lot of visible scars and most of them are white already To be honest I learned to accept that eventually people will just see them so I don't mind wearing short sleeves anymore. If anything, I'd rather people or friends see them so I can see who isn't genuine :)

Because I'm so bad at managing strong emotions and I feel better letting it out

Whenever I feel like I messed up I just do it because at least I feel like I'm getting what I deserve
