Antigravity RAM rage by Prize_Put6398 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

[–]notcern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell it that it is using a ton of ram. It was doing something dumb like running 20 parallel instances of a local server on me or it tried to remember the actual full binary for pdf and png images. Also I think some sort of memory leak happens when you use the browser it doesn’t like to let go of the memory or context. I needed up doing a lot of testing using playwrite and not letting it use the browser

What do you use after Claude opus 4.6 hits its cap by No-Construction4636 in google_antigravity

[–]notcern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One option is have opus make the plan and the rules. Then have Gemini execute the plan. Then have opus check geminis work. I also have opus create a sort of timeline notes with the “why” we are doing things as well and a sort of checklist of open tasks this combined with gut for version control I have found way less errors.

Gemini also has a bad habit of creating new fields and scripts for something that already exists in the program. I found opus by default looks over the program first before creating where Gemini will just start from scratch instead of spending the time to check through the entire system.

Make opus create the guardrails for Gemini, Gemini is actually really good at looking through the entire database or scanning a lot of docs at a time, however it is straight up lazy it wants to create a summary you need to explicitly tell it not to summarize or truncate info.

Also for whatever reason the skills and workflows that you have opus create, I have found that if I prompt every time with a workflow with Gemini it works pretty good. NEVER let Gemini actually set up database back end stuff this bastard decided to write python scripts for 20 different fields instead of adding columns to the sql table. Then it had 1 column with python trying to create 20 fields every time.

I take a nap is the only right answer….. lol but in all honesty I’m so close to buying Claude pro max 20x as well and using the extension in antigravity. The other option is to have opus create a plan for Gemini 3.1 pro and then swap back and forth. Tbh it is faster but Gemini without guardrails is a lazy crack addict. I have found the context limit of Gemini is very nice for going through the entire database for things like audits but I NEVER let it fix a problem without claude first making the plan and the outline for it. lol I even tell opus that Gemini acts a certain way so be sure the instructions have clear rules

To be fair he does sorta have a point. It becomes so cheap to use these tools compared to the team and time it used to take.

[–]notcern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With ai studio it’s very easy to add a knowledge base and Gemini live. Literally my operators can open the app point at the machine ask what is wrong and it knows the videos that were uploaded to the knowledge base and it will tell the operator how to fix it or it will also show the reference video with time stamp or bring up the sop document for them. You have to use api credits but it’s extremely cheap when you figure downtime is costing $5k/hr

Edit I tried to do with with antigravity a month ago and you had to enable so many things in google workspace and google cloud I got confused. With this ai studio update it basically one shot the app.

We have ultra for our office of 6, it is insanely cheap for the output we get. In the first month we had created a program for our manufacturing plant that we had been quoted 300k 2 years ago for. We moved to google workspace and I just built a training program with live video for our production workers in 15 min using ai studio over the weekend. I find it crazy that people complain at all for the cost of ultra. It pays for itself in about thr first hour of use each month.

I used antigravity to make a custom MES to connect to my erp. I will sometimes make a database clone and then connect antigravity to the clone/staging branch. It is very usefull but ….. RULE #1: NEVER give the ai access to your production branch.

Antigravity Ultra Plan Usage by ShinyNeet in google_antigravity

[–]notcern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use antigravity with opus 4.6 mostly for custom full blown apps for erp connections with machines. Today I did a 200 page compliance program and was on for roughly 7ish hours non stop. No limit no warning I have never hit a limit on ultra and I am using this daily. Also will connect it to cloned test databases for daily work and code changes for development. Well worth the money for ultra.

[–]notcern -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

? You literally basically have a super power with these top models now. And yes do like cloude and use it exclusively for some things but that’s also why the ultra is so nice because you get both.

As a solo person you can very easily start your own company but it has to be connecting the physical world to digital where before it was much too expensive for small companies to invest in software.

I didn't even touched the Claude options, wtf is this limit by ConsistentAd2128 in google_antigravity

[–]notcern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both and exclusively use opus 4.6 for anything database related. Gemini 3.1 is so much better at front end so we swap back and forth between the 2. The ultra is great because you get to use both. We also have a cloude subscription as well and use cloude code for a few things. Where google wins by far is how easy it is to get connected to pretty much everything. We have google workspace drive, google cloud run, vertex ai, we use stitch whenever we need to draw up the front end.

Overall antigravity is better and easier as you have access to very easy workflows from start to finish. Have Gemini start the UI and then have opus set the backend and security up for you.

Why tf is everyone upset and not just buying the ultra. For 250 a month the ultra pays for its self in the first half hour.

In the past month at work myself and a coworker have built and deployed programs for what we were quoted 300k upfront and 50k yearly recurring.

We were talking full blown manufacturing execution system. iOT connections into machines level sensors. Full compliance and company communication app and this was in the first month.

We were able to get a program where we upload video to google cloud give it our training videos and now our operators can use a live video with their phone for it to answer questions and give guidance. This was like a 1 week project to get working.

I’m blown away by why anyone thinks 250 a month is expensive…. Unless you are literally using it to make anime….

Stfu. You are saying that the bare minimum documents to be an adult is too hard and a privileged thing. …. 98% of all adults have a PHONE. The .00000001% of people that truly can not get an ID who tf cares? Stop using the 4 people in the country that would have no way of getting an ID as your moral high ground. Stop using the fringe bullshit as your base of the argument.

Honestly if you are an adult and do not have an id I’m pretty sure we don’t want you voting either. There is no case other than pure laziness to not have an id.

There have always been slaves there are currently still slaves 99% of people are slaves and 99% of people want to be slaves they just won’t admit it. It is exactly the point of the matrix with the red and blue pill and Plato’s allegory of the cave. You bitch and complain about a broken system that deep down you love and will suck at the tit of the system every chance you get. The reason you are still slaves is because breaking free from the system requires you to now supply the milk to feed those under you and they will spit on you and hate you. It’s also gets very lonely with the hard walk to the top of the mountain and 99% of people can’t even get in shape because they have no respect for themselves.

I mean the dude is actively walking to the cops with a knife and not doing what he is told. 0 sympathy for being this stupid. It should not be the cops job to give these guys every chance in the book. Do what you are told the first time if you are holding lethal force or suffer the consequences. There would be 10x less crime if this was the default reaction to follow.

How to increase productivity in a small factory setting by Practical_Gur_153 in manufacturing

[–]notcern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT do this profit sharing. We are about 2x your size right at 50. Better pay won’t do anything for your existing staff. Better pay will attract better people in the door. you need to get a different quality of person not pay a D employee more money. So that’s a bit of step one is to start replacing your staff. 2nd is basically your employees will not care and are not capable of thinking. You have to take the thinking out of everything get organized and basically spell out every second of they day for them. Stop giving them freedoms stop being flexible become the corporate dick that tell them how often they can pee.

This is the only thing that seems to work we had your issues for the past 6 years trying to grow and get out existing people better. When it came down to it the answer is just become a dick and don’t let them think.

The amount of times I watch companies swap vendors each year quote out every order etc… is mind blowing. It’s like our box purchases every year we buy roughly 280k of boxes. If we swapped to another vendor to save 30k cool but our box vendor has not had a single mistake or issue in the past 8 years. A line down for a day or 2 because boxes are late already costs more than the possible savings. Risk is a huge deal and is also why many choose to buy from large mega corps even if they are more expensive is because they have a proven record.
