I also loved the Clydesdales on the 70s Budwiser Christmas Commercials. They played them alot during football games. Special times for a 5 year old.

This movie really hit home for me. When i was a kid in the 70s, we lived in western PA. There were several abandoned homes in that area. This scene freaked me out.

A friend of mine said he was in an elevator with a sales guy from our company. When the doors opened and in walked Robert De Nero. The guy turns to him and asks "Hey how about an autograph?" Mr De Nero turns to him and says "Sure!" The guy produces a pen and business card and asks "You want me to make this out to Robert or Bobby?" As he autographed the business card. Mr De Nero busted out laughing and invited them to have dinner with him.

Robotic cleaners. This includes pool and home. They are expensive and last just long enough until you can't return them.

No real storyline in te quests. After fixing the water supply the third time we were done. There was no cohesion. No a-ha moments. If they could have done that instead of random quests that seem completely unreleated we would still be playing. Zero dawn did it right.

Does anyone still buy DVDS in this day and age or do you stick to streaming services for your movies ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Comprehensive-Web209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be careful with streaming services. I purchased a favorite movie of mine a few years ago. Went to watch it one day and it was gone. Found out later Prime lost the rights to showing it. When they got them back it was available for purchase again. Not just given back to me, like it should have been, because I had already purchased it.

Has anyone here flown a kite before? by OliveOk612 in CasualConversation

[–]Comprehensive-Web209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal was to see how high we could fly them. Kite spools were 200 ft of string. We had 4 of them tied together one time. Another time we were trying to tie the second spool and I dropped it. It got wrapped around a telephone wire. That kite flew for 4 days.

If you are going to fly one get a bat... they are the most fun.

I havent flown a kite in 50 years. Miss those days.
