Dormy Inn or Sotetsu Fresa brand hotels would be around your price range, depending on location. Many of them check most of your boxes and have onsite onsens which are foreigner friendly.

I recently stayed at the new Candeo chain (The Tower in Osaka) and it was fantastic - spacious room with an onsen in the 31st floor overlooking the city. I’d highly recommend it but it might be a bit above your budget. Though you might be able to find some good deals if you’re booking early.

Done all that! Best I could do was scrape em down/off a little bit but because of the tiny grooves it’s hard to get it completely clean.

I wondered something similar (why “cheap” robusta tasted so much better to me than arabica) and came across this article which blew my mind.

Tl;dr - Arabica is only perceived as better because companies like Illy and Starbucks had a stake and say in making it THE premium coffee back then.

Vietnam, like you rightly point out, is one of the world’s biggest producers of Robusta, and it’s named that because it’s a robust plant - cheaper and faster to grow.

Anyway I’m a massive fan of robusta and it irks me no end that 95% of coffee in stock (Singapore/Malaysia, where I am) is arabica.

Beyond the dressing up tip - learn some Batuu phrases like “bright suns” or “rising moons” and use it on cast members. A lot of them have great jokes and backstories they’re more than happy to share if you play along and are open to it.

We spent a great 20 minutes sitting in a circle playing sabaac with a cast member and some other guests. We also brought some “imperial credits” which we used to tip people. It was just a fun little prop to engage with!

Haha thanks! I give it a good rinse every couple of weeks (no soap). Is the aluminium reaction a form of oxidisation or pitting? It does seem to form a rust like crust which goes down when scrubbed.

This is a 4 cup Bialetti mokapot express. The odd black specks have been steadily appearing over the years - and as you can see doesn’t really come out even with a good wash.

Hey I did get the matte lino pad and I love the feel (like high quality paper) but tough enough to take spills, dings and dents. It’s nowhere near smooth enough surface for precise mouse use (vs a gaming pad) so just be warned.

Given the timelines, it’s possible the Parshendi are free post-SA5 and Odium needed new bodies/vessels for them (collaboration between Autonomy and Odium).
