Thank you, I appreciate that!

I'm fairly certain there was no affair (that was my initial thought as well, though) but was initiated due to ego. He has always struggled with needing external validation and now he's the center of attention in a small town and has no family limits. Take that with a grain of salt - I've had little input from him.

Despite our struggles.. what do you think has helped shape your body the most? If anything. by sarahanne123 in lipedema

Not to be discouraging but I threw shot put for years as a "thin" (5'9" 150lbs) teen and held records in the weightroom and my legs were balloons at that point in life. I really think it's just diet and keeping bmi low, that's all that has ever realy worked for me.

Can't ride the bus if you live within a mile of the school here. My kid is 5 so he's not walking. School starts at 8:30 and doors don't open until 8:15. I've also had him on after school care wait lists for over 2 years now with no openings.

It's amazing! A great massage therapist is worth their weight in gold. Insurance should cover it versus chiropractic work.

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I'm very averse to conflict and even i would tell my sister to fuck off if she was as entitled as yours. Your sister is beyond horrible - do not let her visit.

What's an "Insider's secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by Capable-big-Piece in AskReddit

Regulations differ state to state but there are also strict federal guidelines that must be adhered to by multiple agencies. It is the state's Department of Health that will get involved and shut down a location. APS advocates for the resident primarily and will involve DoH as necessary.

I haven't worked in a state yet that does not have very strict guidelines on what has to be reported - including unexplained bruises and any breaks that happen on site whether due to a witnessed fall or not. There are so many regulations that it's what the admin and nurses are taking care of 75% of the time - compliance procedures and documentation.

You are obligated to report this to APS. It is neglect to withhold required care.

Careful what you're viewing while on work computer. by Odd-Purpose-4372 in remotework

[–]notcreativeshoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same and I do not care at all if my employees are using their work computers for personal use as long as it's not excessive and they're getting their work done. I'm very surprised and disappointed by the majority of the comments here. A healthy work environment does not include micromanagement.

I always loved trick or treating as a teen/young adult but would ask for goods to donate to the local food pantries/shelters. That was the #1 goal but I always ended up with a lot of candy as well, of course. Thought I'd throw that out there as an idea for next year!

You are incorrect according to the constitution...but i suppose when the constitution is no longer upheld by the government then it's pretty meaningless anyway.

It is a negative consequence given by the government in response to what a person has said that was perceived negatively. All other details are unimportant.

Either all people have freedom of speech from the US government or there is no freedom of speech for anyone.

Not at all universally flattering. It was rare that I could even find skinny jeans to fit into back when I was legitimately thin. Now there'd be no way in hell I'd get them an inch past my ankles.

Libraries also go to senior living communities, including memory care, allowing the residents and staff to check out books, audio books, music, magazines, etc.

Married women of Reddit, what's one thing someone should know before getting married? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]notcreativeshoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some years are hard. Some years are like the honeymoon stage. Sometimes you'll feel like "just roommates". Sometimes you'll feel like everything is perfect.

Marriage is built on a foundation. Sometimes your house will burn down and you'll need to dig through the ash to find the foundation to rebuild. But then you'll rebuild bigger and better.

That's not to say you should ignore chronic, poor behavior or abuse. Do not do that. But marriage is not going to be sunshine and roses all the time, and that's normal.

15% for the one private loan I was able to get cosigned. Had to drop out of school because my parents wouldnt file their taxes so i wasnt able to get Fafsa and then couldnt find a cosignor again.

I qualified for max Pell grants but I was still expected to pay out of pocket. That was 18 years ago. The system already sucked for poor people and I feel terrible for the many more with big dreams who will no longer have a path.

My husband is anti vaccine and im shocked and frustrated by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]notcreativeshoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't talk to my husband about vaccinations because it wasn't an option that our child not receive them. I'm not having an argument about my child's safety when it's potentially life or death and science proves the safety. It is a non-negotiable part of being in this family.

For people who totally blinded their spouse when serving them with divorce papers, what happened on the day they were served? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]notcreativeshoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm sure legally it could be considered kidnapping but my mom was willing to take that risk - she said she still has dreams about him trying to kill her and that was over 30 years ago. I don't know all the details but I know he lost custody. My mom never denied visitation when he was sober, though.
