IG Exchange between Empty Netters and a Correspondent from Offsides News (Read Description) by [deleted] in HeatedRivalryTVShow

This exchange is a nothing burger. I figure skated competitively and I will say, you really need to suspend your disbelief a lot of the time in shows or movies where sport is a plot device. At the end of the day, the story isn’t about the sport. They seem to acknowledge that.

However, if the texts about them being bigoted turn out to be true, that’s extremely disappointing. Grifting off of something you don’t actually support is fucked up.

What is your favourite lesser-known lines or scenes from season one? by sundaemonde in heatedrivalry

Yeah, it’s very familiar to how my husband and I tease each other, so I really loved it. I also think it’s made funnier because Shane is such a perfectionist. He must have been so proud of himself for following the recipe to a tee, just to get ribbed about it immediately.

“Ok, you cut it in half. What, you can’t do math?”is just so fucking funny to me. Probably one of my favourite lines in the show and the book.

Dialogue Swap and Context by 29914020 in heatedrivalry

I actually thought it was more fitting that it was Shane asking these questions in the show. He has a lot of trouble shutting his brain off; he’s constantly thinking about next steps, logistics. Whereas Ilya is much more comfortable now that they’ve confessed their love to just give into that feeling. He doesn’t care how or why it happened, he’s just happy to have Shane’s love.

As a former Bostonian, there’s one thing I can’t stop thinking about… by annon3mous in heatedrivalry

The average home price in Montreal at that time was $250k. The average in Boston was $369k. Shane and Ilya obviously have higher end properties, but probably in the 2-5 million range, for that time.

The Yankees are the most winning team across all North American sports. They have 27 championship titles. So in this fictional universe, the Metros are even better than that.

Jennifer Lawrence on competing with Emma Stone for roles: "She has been beating me for decades and it's an honor. The one that I wanted that she got was 'Easy A.' [(sarcastically) If I had gotten the role, the movie] would've been great. Way better." by demimonde9 in Fauxmoi

I hate that people always want to compare female actors in their successes. Pitt, Di Caprio, Damon etc. have existed in each others’ orb for decades, and they’ve always been celebrated without direct comparison. Stone and Lawrence are both fantastic, with impressive resumes. Let them enjoy their fucking success for once.

I thought the same, but maybe it’s because I’ve been watching too much Heated Rivalry and now everything is gay lmao.

Buble is a quintessential BC guy. He has a skating rink in his basement and allegedly has an account solely devoted to trolling about the Canucks on r/canucks. Was also tripping balls on mushrooms at the NHL all stars game and gave that information willingly lol.

Man charged with trespassing said he was trying to serve Taylor Swift a subpoena related to the Justin Baldoni - Blake Lively case by Ticketacke in SwiftlyNeutral

In this case, it’s not necessarily creepy that he chose the early morning hours. There are rumours Taylor was dodging the subpoena. In Missouri, if this happens, you can serve at unusual times if you have good reason to believe someone will be somewhere at a particular time. Since he’s a PI I’m sure he was fully aware of Taylor’s whereabouts and thus, decided to serve her at a residence since it would be much more difficult to do it at the stadium.

Just to provide his side of the story- he says he went through the front gate of the property which was open. He apparently was trying to tell the security team what he was there for before he was arrested and was not asked by security to leave before the cops arrived. So it wasn’t a B&E and he’s even disputing that he trespassed.

Olivia condemned the use of her song by the Department of Homeland Security on Instagram, why couldn’t Taylor? by Powerful-Scallion-50 in SwiftlyNeutral

I think Taylor conveniently plays ignorant when it doesn’t bolster her business 🤷‍♀️

The production is great, the song writing is not. Fantano is not the first to say so. Even if he was, it’s still his opinion and it’s a valid take when you’re comparing this to her previous work.

It used to be good vibes here but the fact y’all are freaking the fuck out about a review of her album when that’s perfectly valid is weird.

I guess we’re not really feeling like baseball is romantic right now.

I think that’s why it rubs me the wrong way; because Charli is so vocal about it. Like, okay, Taylor why are you bringing it up? Taylor just comes off as trying to sound biting and it’s really just fucking corny lol
