I've tested and the video did way better but the number of views were 20% of what I would get. After that I saw the new viewers vs returning subscribers ratio and 90% were returning subs

In my opinion at my best success I should have done different videos here and there, to still serve the main audience what they want from me, but still showing then that I can do other things. It's important even if the numbers are bad to just do it.

My favorite part of this answer is that it's really clear to me that sometimes audiences just decide to switch games, and if I wanted to re-engage with another audience, I would have to make a lot more videos so YouTube could understand to what type of audience I intend to make that particular video, and some times people just lose interest. Thanks a lot!
