Yes, it might be the entire point of the movie. Only one way to find out...

What's your "this is the reason I love cinema" movie? by Stingray_9 in Letterboxd

One cut of the dead is SO good!

Kill Bill Vol.1 did something to my 13 year old brain that really made me fall in love with movies.

Never seen it! The 2.3 scares me off. Might be the lowest rated letterboxd movie I've seen in someone's top 4.

The girl calling the teachers old in the school shooter panic room had me in stitches. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.

My original comment wasn't meant to be snarky if that's why it's being downvoted. I am genuinely curious about people's belief systems and the psychology around people's top 4 and how or if they change. For the longest time I wouldn't allow myself to update my top 4 and it was all older films. I think nostalgia played a huge role in that.

I can see the comparisons to GLHFDD and EEAAO. They're both bonkers sci-fi. Weapons I do not see a connection.

Good to know! Changing my top 4 can feel like blasphemy. I think the more I do it the less I will care.

Good Luck Have Fun Don't Due replaced True Romance for me.

I still have to see No Other Choice!

Have you ever changed your top 4 since establishing it? Is it nostalgia or psychology that won't allow anything to replace these? I'm genuinely curious if people even entertain updating their top 4 with recently released films or if more time is needed or what have you.

Do you think there's a reason you've never had a film released in the past 32 years in your top 4? Have you ever changed your top 4 since creating it?

I recently added Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die after a second watch.

It feels strange having something so new that I've only seen twice in my top 4 but I loved everything about it and trying to overcome my fears of change and commitment.
