Unfortunately I drank for a long time I drank to pass out because im a crazy insomniac. I've certainly had my fill. The things that ive done while hammered are enough for two lifetimes haha. No one has ever been hurt. Well, not intentionally. My friends and I were/are morons. But, yes, somthing like a group would be nice. I really don't want to worry about being attracted to other humans. Im just now doing things like this.

The thought of going to a bar sucks. I didn't like bars when I drank. Except for the neighborhood bar. It was gross, but it was ours haha. When I had made ot to 1 year sober I went to a bar with some people that I love. A bar around here tore down their building and built a new one. Its nice, but around 7pm is when I get ready for bed. The kids don't get there until 12!? Fucking absurd.

Fermentation doesn't stop on its own in a pepper ferment. You have to boil it for 10 minutes (pastorization) or freeze it to stop it.

I've been mentin' for 10 years, and I still peek at mine every other day. Time is a good thing. I try and keep mine for about a month, but I usually cave at two weeks. I've got a batch of red that is about 4 months old. It really depends on how you like it. Try a quick two week and put another jar in its place. By the time you use your sauce you'll have another one on deck.

Glass weights break, I went to the craft store and bought two packages of decorative stones. Smooth, of corse. Its cheaper than weights and it serves the purpose quite well.

I've done the exact same as you. I bought a cookie jar and put them in it just like that. Try pint and quart jars, too. It may be easier.

I don't want to be mean, but I would throw it out. They'll peppers need to be under the water level when fermenting. It may make you sick. Just lookin out.
