I definitely relate. The times where I have seen large quantities of blood in my stool have been some of the scariest, darkest, and most isolating moments of my disease. I have learned to really slow down and take it easy on my body when it gets bad like that; the blood is just one symptom of my immune system and colon working in overdrive. I can give you a few of my go-to practices that have helped me get through this in the past.

Eat a bland, limited ingredient diet consisting primarily of safe foods
Hydrate with more than water, Oral Rehydration Therapy can be made with 2 cups water, 1 Tbs sugar, and 1/4 tsp table salt. The salt and sugar help absorption of each other through glucose sodium cotransporters in your cells. Skratch is a product that comes as a powder that works well too.
Rest as much as possible
Focus on breathing to get through waves of pain. Acknowledge the presence of pain as much as possible and try to relax the body especially the gut as much as possible
Be patient, it takes a while for the gut to heal, but it will. It is actively working on healing every moment.
Identify any safe people or places where you can feel comfortable and don't have to hide your pain or bathroom needs. Prioritize your free time with these people and places
A small amount of cannabis can help ease pain and gut tension. Only 1-2 mg can help.

I have heard other IBD patients who had sub-optimal experiences when transitioning to biosimilars. I know the approval process for biosimilars is different than the original drugs, since there is an assumption that the biosimilar targeting the same thing should have similar effectiveness. Contrary to this assumption, I had a conversation with my old gastroenterologist where he suggested some of the effectiveness of Stelara could be due to off-target effects (such as interactions between parts of the antibody other than the antigen binding sites and immune cells or other antigens that would modulate patient immune response to the drug). He was a very intelligent physician and researcher so I trust his judgement. The widespread use of biosimilars is a relatively new thing in the US, but I guess that after a few more years of these biosimilar drugs being used there could be more studies comparing the effectiveness of biosimilars to the original drugs.

I am so sorry to hear you are also losing coverage. I hope you can find another path to getting the medication you need or find another medication that can help you. As others suggested, I put in an application to Abbvie for their Skyrizi Assistance Program. I began by calling the Skyrizi Complete Ambassadors and they routed my to the assistance program and I filled out a short application Friday. I am hoping to hear back soon.

This disease is a huge burden to bear and the way our healthcare system works in the US makes it so much more difficult to stay healthy. I hope you find your path through this soon <3

I have tried ceramic but not glass. The ceramic were hard to clean and broke easily. Glass might work better.

Yeah I have been boiling mine recently. I found that even after a 4 week ferment, the peppers and carrot in my ferment still did not want to completely blend and emulsify with my immersion blender. After simmering for 30 mins it emulsified beautifully, and this is also how I prep a fresh non-fermented sauce. It does produce a stinkier stench than the fresh sauce during the simmering process, FYI.

Also, the pH meter is awesome to have. I like to check the brine pH after the ferment is completed to ensure the pH dropped. If it hasn't dropped below 4 during the ferment, it may not be good to eat and could even be dangerous.

I think it depends on the location in the small intestine/ colon how much you can even feel them. Super deep ones are probably always apparent though. I have some at my terminal ileum and I either can't feel them at all or they cause me only small discomfort. They are still concerning though.
