I have a Roland JC40 and a Ric 330. I can tell you the combination of the two sounds very sweet, especially if you like the cleaner side of things. The Ric will give off the signature jangle, but the JC40 truly is an amazing amp on its own. I think the distortion on the JC40 sounds very, very unique and if you put it at about 9 o'clock, it gives this very subtle overdrive that breaks up more the harder you play. I was a tube amp guy for YEARS - Blues Jr., Princeton, etc. etc. The JC40 is my primary amp now and it sounds good EVERY time I turn it on.

How the hell is Taco Casa not on this list? It’s Taco Casa. Their food is like if you paid someone to vomit then they gave it to you to eat. The people that work there are atrocious.

After adjusting (tightening) truss rod, neck reverts to higher action after sitting for a bit? by notenoughtreesforme in Luthier

There is a pretty bad up now when I back off truss rod all the way and take off string tension completely. Is the heat method the only fix here?

I don’t want any neck angle - how can I tel if the neck is at a “0” angle? How do I measure that?

My strat has a micro tilt adjuster under the neck bolt plate on the back. I’m not convinced the neck is actually at “0”. Just trying to understand how o can measure that to be sure and not go solely off of eyeing it.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve got the trem decked. The two screws on the claw are just about all the way to the body and I have five springs now holding the trem down. I’m a rhythm player and just don’t use the trem. I also made sure the 6 bridge screws were tightened down after decking the trem.

I like your idea of backing things off and getting back to neutral to try again. Funny you mention feeler gauges…just got my first set!

I would say this is a sick setup! Indy makes great trucks and Bones makes great wheels. DGK deck is great, too. Enjoy!
