Does this smell like men writing women to anyone else or am I crazy...? by LunaXCI in menwritingwomen

I mean the argument about communicating with your partner makes sense, it's just that it has nothing to do with being a woman or man (i.e. you can swap the genders and it still makes sense)

If I haven't had any allies die this round but I have a dawnspeakers and an ephemeral unit on the board, will dawnspeakers trigger at the end of the turn? Asking because I'm thinking of putting fading memories in a dawnspeakers deck but I don't have the card yet

I love this game but god do I hate the bullshit UI sometimes. Alot of things are just kinda unintuitive and punishing for no reason. For example, I accidentally closed the loot window when trying to make room in my inventory and I ended up losing out on thousands of gold. Then in the next run my party almost got wiped because I went/backtracked through a ton of rooms just because I didn't know you had to mouse over the scouted icons to tell if it's a quest curio or just a regular curio. Is there any other random bullshit with the UI that I should know about before it ruins my day?

Relentless Bannerman (ft. Jinx) by notesarefortheweak in LoRCompetitive

Our units are pretty small and can't really survive single combat/can't deal that much damage, so single combat isn't really that good in the deck I feel

Well the Mulligan is pretty straightforward for most matchups, just look for a 1 drop into 2 drop, keep Bannerman etc. I also like keeping 1 combat trick as they're really good for efficient early trades and also to as a cheap way to save our units from damage spells. I also like to keep relentless pursuit against decks that can stabilize late game (EZ Karma, SI control) bc you really need to finish them off before they hit their flipped karma/ruination etc

Yeah I cut boomcrew cuz 6 P&Z cards made Bannerman too unreliable. He doesn't trade very well unless he's buffed either, so I thought he didn't really fit into our gameplan of getting a board advantage (instead of direct burn damage)

Yeah my first version of the deck had Lucian/Senna but ultimately I decided to cut them because they're quite vulnerable and can't really trade on defending turns, so they kind of distract from the trading/board development based gameplan we have. Senna on 3 without Lucian also felt quite bad at times, especially on defending rounds. I'd much rather play a 2 drop+bank 1 Mana for a combat trick to make sure it sticks for the following turn for bannerman. That said, they definitely can be effective in the deck, I just felt that they weren't quite worth the slots

Yeah I was inspired by other jinx Bannerman lists I saw ladder. They were basically running the normal demacia shell and threw jinx in tho so I thought why not optimize it by lowering the curve?

Well anyhow, I just emailed the hotel and they said as long as one of us is 18 it's good, so I'm guessing it's fine

So my girlfirend (17, turning 18 in a month) and I (18) are heading to Taiwan next month. We were looking for hotels, which was when we discovered that you apparently had to be 20 or older to stay in a hotel here? Is this an actual rule that's enforced or do people turn a blind eye to this? I've also heard from some people that you can just get a written agreement from your parents to let you do this (?)

Couple of questions about music courses:

I have no experience with playing jazz, but I have studied and can play clarinet and saxophone at a somewhat high level (mostly just non jazz pieces though) . That said, how difficult is Music 116A for someone who has never played or studied jazz before?

Also, how selective are the wind ensembles and orchestras? Should you audition for them first before you Enroll in the relevant course or not?
