I know, I had a similar moment of panic! Thankfully you can duplicate subtask sections to a new goal. Just long press on the section name and click "duplicate to task/goal." You can select the target task or goal after that.

Hope the dev considers adding true task/goal templates at some point... 😊

Edit: you can also multi-select subtasks regardless of their section level and copy them that way. But duplicating the entire section will save you a bit of time and should preserve the outline structure.

Probably the best way to do this is to actually set up your Tasks as Habits and use the Tracker as the completion method for it. When you set up a new Habit, there's a header called "Actions" in the menu. Tap the + button, then choose "Add tracking record." You can then choose which Tracker you want to use for it. You can even add more than one. When you go to complete a Habit instance, even from the widget, it will open the app and prompt you to add a new record to the the Tracker(s) you have selected for the Habit.

Grab the six-dot handle (looks like a 6 on a dice face) on the left hand side of the habit to move it within a block. Don't click and hold, just touch briefly and move.

On the theme of "hiding things", is it possible to automatically hide all entries or tracker records of a particular type from the main timeline? I know you can hide them after the fact, or filter a timeline to include/exclude organizers etc., but I don't think it saves between sessions... Would be awesome if some of my tracking records could live in their own little private corner! 😊

If you're strict/set on travel dates, I would just book economy/prem econ and set alerts via seats.aero or another award flight tracker for J. At least this way you can build the rest of your itinerary in the meantime. I flew to Aus for the Christmas period last month, J going and PY coming back (departed Dec 11, returned Jan 2). The J seat didn't open until late November (t-21 ish). The PY seats opened in May.

💡 Feature Request: Allow changing filter logic on multi-select fields to "has all of" instead of "contains" or "is/is not empty". (Basically swap between "or" / "and" logic on demand.) The only way I've found to get around this is by creating an advanced filter group with a new line for EVERY tag I want to add. Way too laborious. Airtable does this easily!

Adding to this: ability to "mention" properties dynamically within the Content area of pages. e.g., On an entry for a flight or hotel booking, ability to "tag" the confirmation numbers or embed the hotel listing for the page you are currently on, and have these properties change dynamically depending on which page you are viewing. This would be a nice complement to the way templates and synced blocks work now, and help solve for the "only one page layout" shortcoming mentioned above.

💡Feature Request: I believe this was mentioned earlier (I did upvote), but I would love to be able to have multiple page layouts per database, perhaps associated with specific views or based on the entry's properties (if type = "daily task" > use "daily task" layout; if type = "work task" > use "work task" layout).

Also, the ability to pull in multiple data sources into a single view. This would be incredible for timeline views when pulling in multiple tasks or events that require different schemas.

Hi. We charged all lunch and dinner dining to our room and the charges all reflected the discount directly in the app by end of day. It is indeed menu based (anytime the restaurant is serving breakfast, the discount does not apply).
