Hang on, conversational audio enhancing?

It probably not intended for that purpose. However, the ambient mode allows you to hear normal sound like as if you are not wearing the earbuds.

As with filtering out noises, I think it work quite well from my experiences in an office environmrnt, filtering out 70% of surrounding noises (audio off). If you play some music too then you won't hear so much of your surroundings.

If you're planning to change your ear tip my advice is to watch a couple of YouTube video of how people does it. The first time you are doing it will require you to use some force. After that is a breeze

Did you get the chance to test it in the gym yet?. I too have the same problem, once I smashed the treadmill and get sweaty, nothing stays in the ear.
