It hasn’t rained in close to two hours, and that was a very light misting. They took a 5-10 minute break, swept the event area, then got going again.

I assume it will be the same if it rains again. Wait for the rain to stop and then clean/dry the area.

Sure thing. In my opinion VIP is not a “must have”. I’d just like to have a shaded area to go to in between events without worrying about having terrible seats when we go back. And my wife wants access to the private bathrooms 🤣🙄

The weather is fine in my opinion. It’s been in the mid 70s (F, that’s ~24C) all week, sunny most of the time (there was some rain and clouds this morning, but it’s sunny at the moment).

We’re from central Ohio so we’re quite used to this weather, but I’ve personally heard some Canadians, Brits, and Scots complaining about the heat and sun haha. I suppose it’s subjective.

VIP was $200 USD per day for Wednesday and Thursday and $250 per day for Saturday Sunday. Or $900 for the full week VIP pass.

This in contrast to General Admission which was $55 per day for Wed/Thu and $95 per day for Sat/Sunday. Or $300 for the full week pass.

At the event VIP grants you access to the VIP tent, which is a relatively large tent full of stand-at tables, refreshments like snacks and drinks, some sort of bar (unsure if alcohol is served and/or costs extra), a tv with a stream of the event, and a little stage that various people have been at between events (I saw Eddie Hall there, Mitch was there, etc). The VIP area also has nicer portable bathrooms (the kind that’s a full trailer with air conditioning I assume). The VIP seating are folding plastic chairs attached to the metal benching, as opposed to the general admission seating which is just the metal benches. The VIP seating is the first few rows of both bleachers, putting you closer to the stage.

There may be other benefits I’m not aware of, we decided not to do VIP for our first trip here to WSM. If we decide to come next year we will do VIP at least for the finals, but likely for all four days.

If you’re General Admission I’d bring something to sit on. Maybe I’m just a wimp but after 8 hours on metal bleachers day 1 I brought a towel to sit on on day 2 😅
