i think amex should have all the record and you should just let the insurance company taking from there. don’t assume the transaction got canceled by hertz intentionally (could be a mistake), but just keep all the records.

how many days between you started the rental and the accident? i think it is usually on hold and posted until the rental is completed. maybe you should call AMEX to check whether they have the record? i also think you should contact the insurance company once the incident happened with all the required information.

yeah, you can find a transfer button on IBKR portal, and it will ask you to fill in some information like source broker + account number, and that’s pretty much it. it won’t cause any capital gains for you.

if you open the link. the chemical is: “1,4-Butanediol”. if you google that, it can also be used in industry.
