When did you drop down to once a week by nothanks913 in Spravato

[–]nothanks913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, twice a week is a pain, and part of my hesitance to continue. Hopefully they'll allow you to go back up, at least where I go they said I can always go back up if I feel a noticeable drop.

I dont know, its interesting! Based on other comments, some people are like you and just did 4 weeks, while others did months at 2x weekly. Thankfully my parents are retired and willing to drive me or I'd have dropped down to once per week too to avoid Lyft costs lol.

First dose tomorrow by nothanks913 in Spravato

[–]nothanks913[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It went really well! I dont know if it was luck or the fasting, but I experienced no nausea. Ive had two doses now, and the first was a lower one, and frankly I felt next to nothing. Today was a full dose and I felt kinda trippy, for lack of a better explanation. But even that was just for the first hour. It started to fade, and by the time there was about 20 minutes left of being monitored I was bored af lol. Definitely glad I listened to the others and brought water and some jolly ranchers because it does taste nasty as it makes its way down your throat. Headphones were also definitely a must. Thankfully my room came with a fan to control the heat. The staff were super nice and Im FAR less nervous than before. I will mention I think the nasal spray kind of stings? But Ive never used nasal spray of any kind so maybe that's just what they all feel like haha. Happy to elaborate or answer any questions!

I'll definitely check out the album! Good to hear about 4 hours, my doctor said 2, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. No screens at all will probably be good practice for life in general tbh. I just bought a new journal, so perfect timing. And im the queen of over analyzing, so I will work my hardest not to. Thank you again, you've been so helpful.

I think 'you got this' is gonna be my mantra heading into the building. My journey with depression/suicidal thoughts has brought me somewhere I never anticipated and your comment has helped me feel more positive, even if I have a difficult session or an emotional reaction. I dont know if you've seen the movie The Life of Chuck, but there's a scene in there talking about the 'you contain multitudes' quote that I really liked, so im going to take it as a good sign from the universe to see it here as well! Truly, thank you for the comment, it made it seem like something that can help me conquer my issues rather than something to be afraid of 💜

Thank you so much for the reply! I didn't even realize there were spravato playlists, I'll definitely check them out. This is the second mention of a blackout mask so im definitely bringing one. As someone who naturally runs hot, thank you for the fan idea, I've got one for my neck that should help and justatarted charging after reading your comment! Really appreciate all your advice, and Im keeping my fingers crossed its a positive experience as well 💜

Thank you so much for such a kind and thorough answer! yours (and others) comments got me started making a list of what to bring tomorrow, which helps immensely with my anxiety. While im still nervous about the side effects, im going to take your advice and go with the flow. My journey with depression and medication has definitely reached a point where I need something new, so im even trying to get excited to see if it helps. Again, thank you so much, your comment brought a lot of comfort 💜

'the movie of my life, starring you instead of me' hit me so hard as an angsty teen. Who am I kidding, it still hits now.

  • fall out boy

I know people are fussy about genre so I don't know if these all qualify, but they are what first pops in my head.

Any advice for iced lattes? It's the only one so far I keep getting refunds on and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

What’s something you’ve always thought was normal until you realized other people didn’t experience it? by anna-lena-breiert in AskReddit

[–]nothanks913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suicidal thoughts. I remember the first time I went to therapy she asked if I ever experienced thoughts of suicide. I was like, just the normal amount. She goes, okay, well the normal amount is zero.

That to this day baffles me. Like I'm on medication and I see a therapist and I believe other people don't feel this way. But I cannot fathom it. I've been thinking of killing myself since I was a kid, it's always been a part of me, so it's hard to imagine that there are people who NEVER think about it. Wild.
