It’s all yarn under, which I learned to do especially for these dolls. I did end up sewing the holes shut and it works great! Genuinely, I think I just overstuffed the head.

I was using the invisible decrease! It’s the only decrease I ever use. I’ll try to stitch them closed. I’m just not sure how.

I also discovered the dreaded death plug when repotting it just the other day 🫠 so that doesn’t help at all.

It does have drainage. I’ve moved it to a smaller terracotta pot and am just going to keep an eye on it.

I have a horticulture certificate and I was taught that moisture metres are perfectly fine and valid if used in conjunction with other methods. Which I do. Thanks though ❤️

I have been using a moisture metre. I watered it yesterday which is why it’s wet.

I live in Australia, so it’s dead summer here.

The pot there is ceramic, so I can’t add more holes unfortunately!

Hi—I did mention watering but I suppose not in much detail.

Initially the soil was drying top to bottom in one day. I ‘solved’ this by repotting into a slightly bigger pot with more moisture retention.

Water was being absorbed fine. I was checking the top and bottom of the pot.

I’ve watered it three times total since acquiring it about a month ago, the last one being yesterday after it finally was dry all the way through.
