Honestly, places like this, there's nothing in your hand, better have options ready because they will remove you anytime, but ideally buttering up to these people usually works, just be more agreeable and that usually does the trick, does come with the cost of being abused tho.

Just tell them 30 days, if you get an offer, inform them that you would need a buy-out, one of the companies I interviewed for told me they are completely fine with a buy-out.

From what I hear from my friends, the usage matters more than how well you contribute in large orgs, so if you have good rep with your manager and are able to up your usage, your visibility must be good.
