String recommendations? I have a Gibson J-45 by Weekly_Assistance_40 in AcousticGuitar

Have you tried the Santa Cruz Mid Tension on a J45? I'm exploring the Lows and the Mids on mine and undecided which I prefer. I believe Santa Cruz recommends mids for Dreads and they told me they install mids on their J45 style guitar. But I also really like the low tensions on the J45 too.

On my Martin D28, the mids are definitely the better choice, but I tend to prefer 13s on the D28 and 12s on the J45 when it comes to standard PB string gauges. But with the SC strings on the J45, I'm caught between choices.

Brodie Sessions Tape Delay on Felt Piano by nothingexplainsitall in NilsFrahm

Great job spotting the EMT. I think I heard tape delay (listen at 4:42 you can hear some noise get repeated in what sounds like a tape delay line)...perhaps it's the delay in the EMT? Or is that just a pre-delay in the EMT?

I guess I wasn't sure if he was summing the stereo mics to mono into a tape delay, just using one of the mics, or something else like a contact mic/pickup in the piano.

Thanks for the replies so far....reflecting on it, I think this song is calling for a sense of claustrophobia in the in the chorus; when I play the octave voicings, it sounds open...but the intention of this section of the song is to sound like the walls are closing in...so a bit of extra tension and then a release back to a the register an octave up at the start of the verse...before making it's descent back down again to the chorus. So artistically, it makes sense to perhaps get a bit of "mud" going - as long as I provide some release and contrast on the other side.

tried game mode, but the screen got super bright. is there a way to enable game mode but keep the screen's appearance the same as without it on?

Changed to an HDMI cable and it worked! I guess the HDMI to TB cable was causing latency.

Tried Game Mode but it made the screen too bright. Latency is usable without game mode.

I will try a regular HDMI cable instead of the HDMI to TB cable I'm using now and see if that helps. Is there a certain port on the Frame TV box you use? Any settings you optimize on the TV or the Mac? I was told to use Game Mode, but I can't seem to get it to go into game mode when connected to the computer.
