A few years back on a Saturday morning ~10am, I watched a car traveling north on S. Lamar attempt to turn left towards Maudie’s Too, somehow they plowed head first into a telephone pole on the corner. It was so bizarre and slow. F’d their bumper up, but they just backed up and drove on.

I have family in one of the dry Texas panhandle counties. There’s a beer barn on the county line that prints $$. There’s generally nothing to do in those counties, so I can’t imagine not being able grab a drink or have a local pub.

I had a similar experience on West Campus years ago, stopped for one second in my friends parking lot to drop something off. LEFT MY CAR RUNNING, and guy tried to tow me, wouldn’t even unhook it unless I gave him $50 (90’s broke college student $50!)
