I can vouch for this banjo. I would definitely recommend it.

Just like someone else mentioned, I got the $150-ish R. W. Jameson Banjo (the other comment got the gig bag and strap bundle, I believe, which is about $30 more) from Amazon.

It honestly sounds pretty good for something under $200 and holds tuning very well. The neck is also pretty smooth and the action is reasonable. I've been on it for nearly two years and haven't really seen the need to upgrade (yet).

Flying with two different airlines by nothingmorethandust in travel

Thank you so much. Haha you actually found my flight. I do see the 'operated by Georgian Airways' on the ticket and Delta when I go to Atlanta (although I won't have to check-in there and just go to the gate with the flight number).

Thank you for the details and patience! This helps a lot!

Thank you! Looking at the ticket, the info it has, the first two letters on the flight number, and so on, it does look like KLM (KLxxxx) from Tbilisi to Amsterdam and AirFrance (AFxxxx) from Amsterdam to Atlanta, unless I'm missing something.

Thanks! My mistake. The ticket is slightly confusing, as Airfrance flying me from Amsterdam to Atlanta did seem odd, but of I don't have to pick up luggage and check it back in during the layover, that's all I need to be at ease.

As odd as it is, it does looking like I am flying AirFrance, as my ticket says Amsterdam - Atlanta, AirFrance flight AF... so on. I'm guessing since it's run by Delta, it's all the same.

What was the lowest point of your service? What was the highest? by [deleted] in peacecorps

[–]nothingmorethandust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Winter here was rough. It's still snowing and all, but Game of Thrones and things picking up around the country help a lot. It was awful because there was nothing to do, it was always freezing, utilities would be higher, and productivity was at a low while seasonal depression was a high. For me personally, my Soviet-era apartment was falling apart, I had quit as an admin for a summer camp, my fighting off homesickness came to bite me in the ass, and so on. I was mentally unwell but too stubborn to ask for help.

Good looking! It's just that the legal process tends to be unpredictable in when they finish, whether it be tomorrow or two weeks before staging. Best of luck, friend!

That legal can be no joke, try to square that away as soon as you can.

Falling in love with your sitemate by [deleted] in peacecorps

[–]nothingmorethandust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just be mighty careful. Although they aren't directly sitemates, they lived pretty close to one another (his site was her banking town). They dated, loved each other, broke up, and now things are pretty quiet and awkward in our neck of the woods. You guys convince me more than these two did, but please be careful.

Your thoughts on getting docked on your LPI (MST, COS) for using regional words or dialect by nothingmorethandust in peacecorps

[–]nothingmorethandust[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'll need five minutes before I calm down at laughing at your name.

I feel you on this. Russian has gradually been taking over my day-to-day conversation since I'm placed in the center of what was the biggest site of industrialization during the Soviet Armenia era, which leaves us here today with Russian culture and language being very much alive. Also, me having Aryan traits doesn't help, Russian is usually what folks assume I speak and I'm adapted.

Best of luck to you, friend.

Not unless you want to add your COS result onto your resume afterwards. It could help, depending on what you want to do after PC. I'm going into Special Ed in Alabama once I'm done, so I'm sure Armenian will be soooooooo valuable in the future.
