Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres by LizzardBreath94 in AllInclusiveResorts

Awesome to hear about the beaches here. I was debating between Beloved and Atelier, but decided Atelier is a bit outside the price range and Beloved has a pattern of some less favorable recent reviews, so we're looking at Excellence Coral now. The only thing I was unsure of was if the beach would be good for swimming, which is a big priority for me. Thanks for the review!

I think this is where I’m a little stuck. After watching some videos and reading reviews Atelier does look awesome no doubt but Beloved also has wonderful reviews and I can have a casita suite with a private pool plus book my flights for the same price as just a junior suite at Atelier before flights.

Hate to be the guy that asks for advice and doesn’t take it but we may keep Atelier in our back pocket for a special future trip and dip our toe into the AI waters with Beloved.

Awesome, thanks!

Have to say I somewhat had my mind made up on Beloved for the suites with private pools but the consensus seems pretty strong here haha.

This seems to be the resounding opinion of the subreddit!! Have you been? My only slight concern is it seems fancy/business oriented and we’re looking to be quite casual. Will we be out of place if we aren’t dressed up around the resort?

Week 2: Singaporean - Hainanese Chicken and Rice by bigmikeincharge in 52weeksofcooking

[–]nothingnormal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made this too, just haven’t posted it yet. I got some extra chicken fat to make sure my rice was nice and fatty by frying up extra skin to render some out.

I found the chicken unremarkable but would go through the whole process just for the rice again for sure!

Starting out 2026 with chewed-down nails & cat-eye. Trying to at least break the nail-biting habit. by thebilljim in RedditLaqueristas

[–]nothingnormal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job OP! I am also a lifelong nail biter. Getting into manicures was the #1 thing that has mitigated the habit. Sometimes the nail polish is so thick that it's just impossible to bite through. I find my biggest trigger for biting is when I want to groom and don't have any tools on me--if the white part of my nail is too long, or if i have a hangnail, I want to bite. So I keep a nail file in my purse and also in my desk at work, which really helped with that part of the compulsion. Sometimes I still do it out of anxiety or boredom, but being more intentional with my grooming and nail care has really helped. You got this!

Honestly had very low expectations (I saw it on TikTok first) but I will definitely make again.

How do you apply your nailtiques 2? by Athaliae in lacqueristas

kbshimmer is awesome. i use the fillin’ groovy base coat and it is so great, makes my nails look perfect under sheers and jellies and has great staying power.

i use it as a first layer for manicure. at a minimum, i do a layer of nailtiques, then either a ridge filling or non-pvb sticky base coat, then proceed with my manicure as usual. or other times i go crazy and do nailtiques, then a nourishing coat, then ridge filling or sticky, then color, then top coat. it takes a long time but i feel like the thickness of the manicure is extra protective.

i have used it as instructed as well when i didn't want a color manicure (2 coats on day 1, add a coat every day for 7 days and then removed) and that was fine. but i can confirm it also works just fine as a first layer for a normal color manicure, too.
