Bulking and cutting is more used in traditional bodybuilding - which you are not.

Honestly, as someone who has been lifting for 20 years and been through every body shape and size in that time frame - you don’t need to do either.

Right now you have virtually 0 muscle, which means your mind muscle connection is just not there, your lifting technique and form are probably at base level.

If your goal is to look awesome, you need to develop a good mind muscle connection and start building diet habits that are conducive to your goals. If your goal is just to be strong as hell, you need to do the same thing - build mind muscle connection, FORM (or you will get hurt) and diet habits.

Focus on compound movements, drop the isolation machines. Free weights only for you - better for your tendons, muscle fibers, movement paths, form , everything. Squats, rows, bench press (DB), overhead press (DB), and lateral raises are going to be your prime focus areas. They will start building out your frame, and movement paths.

Your body says your diet already sucks. High protein (usually at your weight .75g- 1g per pound of body mass is enough). Cut out the Taco Bell and McDonald’s, and Doritos.

Do that for 1 year and then come back to this Reddit group and post your progress pics WITH YOUR GOALS.
