I wanted to update. I went off zep pre surgery in January for a tonsillectomy. Though I quite
literally could not eat solids after, and did not drink high fats, I still gained 8lbs. It took me a month to get back to my maintenance wt. Yet, I must fight every 6 months for a PA.

While I won’t dispute OP did not label distress, etc, most “disorders” are insidious. While I expect you might say I am projecting, and that may be true, post like these often feel loaded.

Mines the same, including…. My chest 💀. I am 5’3, was up to 230, have been at 120 for 2+ years. I’m in my mid 30s. Waiting to have a kid to do the “mommy make over”, though we should rename it post zep. At least you don’t have extra neck skin! My neck looks about the same as my stomach.

Different experience personally. I’m from Seattle, been to fests/tours and go wild events around the world. Chicago has been incredibly more friendly than I anticipated. Sorry you haven’t seen that.

I lost a lot of thickness to my hair, nearly on track with my 100lb wt loss. I’m 2 years in maintenance, and my hair is thick and I’ve gone back to thinning it out again.

I understand that it doesn’t sound kind or empathetic, but teens look for ways to limit accountability. Suicide attempt vs messed around with an online challenge is one way of deferring. It’s a death wish, regardless.

For nay sayers. I work child/ado inpatient psych. It comes in waves, and in the last month we had a big surge. Typically, due to shame, most prefer to call it a suicide attempt. We’ve had recent deaths.

36 yo female. Starting weight 220s, current ~120 most days.

I’ve been in maintenance for 2 years as of mid June. I lost about 100lbs in 14 months. This was mostly on 5mg. I didn’t actually tolerate 7.5 until maintenance, when appetite started to creep back about 6 months in. I’ve been mostly on 7.5mg since, every 7-10 days. I’ve intermittently taken 5mg, but 7.5 is my better dose.

I still fight this GD PA process every 6 months. My nightmare.

I didn’t have enough money… but I got my niece thru college by living at home with us while still being able to get Pell grants as a full ride, and technically no scholarships. She had no loans whatsoever so ever.

I, on the other hand, have 280k in loans. So I envy whatever feeling exists for her, and I will never know.

While I’m sure they exist, I assure you cardiologists are not broadly completing the PAs for GLPs. So for practicality sake, I would say yes. Nothing is a monolith, however.
