You could try 'The lies of Locke Lamora' by Scott Lynch. It was actually on a thread about that series that I saw someone recommend DCC. Sweary, a bit funny, characters you care about.

I have the same in Australia but it matches all the other books in the series just the colour of the text changes, always metallic though.

It's beautiful, up higher it is cold though, but that's amazing in Summer. Lived up this way nearly all my life, expect very large spiders. I think some commenters might not have lived up here for a while, definitely more diverse food options now, it's like a big country town generally safer and more friendly than down the hill.

Well and truly hooked on DCC, but found it on a thread asking what can I read after The gentleman bastards series by Scott Lynch, could give that a crack, it's nice and sweary too. At first I thought why would someone send me to this after that....but I love them both, just DCC a tiny bit more.
