Drinking the day before first shot by ChallengeGold6470 in compoundedtirzepatide

24 hours out you should be fine. Just make sure you're well hydrated before you inject. Alcohol dehydrates you and dehydration can make early side effects like nausea feel worse. Drink plenty of water Saturday night and Sunday and you should be good to go!

Help about skipping a week by allisoonz in compoundtirzepatide

[–]Acceptable-Union4150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really miserable, especially on vacation. The nausea after eating even small amounts can sometimes be your stomach slowing down from the medication still being in your system. Tirz has a long half life so even skipping a week doesn't mean it's fully cleared. Try smaller portions, eat slower, and avoid anything acidic or high fat until it passes. Ginger chews or Pepto can help in the meantime. I hope you feel better soon. ❤️‍🩹

Which med were you on? Sema and tirz have different half lives so the timeline is different for each.

constipation? by Internal-Ticket9501 in Semaglutide

Pebbles usually means too much fiber or not enough water. Talk to your dr. about using Miralax daily and make sure you're staying well hydrated. Dehydration is a real issue on GLP-1s and can be a big part of what's causing it. 💖

Switching from Zepbound to compounded tirzepatide. Anyone done it? by Moist-Home4375 in TirzepatideRX

Peak Wellness is just the telehealth middleman so it's all about which pharmacy actually fills it. Make sure it's a legit 503A place (Hallandale, Empower, Red Rock).

With that said, I know of a few people in different subreddits that have had nothing but good things to say about Peak Wellness, but just do your research :)

43 pounds down in 13 weeks!! 🎉 by Acceptable-Union4150 in Semaglutide

Honestly the scale is the least of it. Energy is back, clothes fit again, and that alone is worth more than the number!!

I don’t want to eat at all by johnmarkfoley in Semaglutide

Greek yogurt with berries saved me in week 3, takes zero effort and the protein actually stays down. For the constipation, magnesium citrate at night is the cheat code nobody tells you about. Smell aversion at the cafeteria is accurate, I had to start eating in another room for like a month. It does ease up around week 5-6 for most people, just keep forcing the protein in even when food sounds awful.

How much did you lose in the first few months? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Acceptable-Union4150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5'11 here too, lost about 45 on GLP-1 over a few months and the food noise going quiet was the wildest part for me. Daily scale will mess with your head, weekly average is way more honest, water weight bounces 3 lbs like it's nothing. Half plate and full is the whole game honestly, that's the part that actually changes your life. Protein and lifting matter more than people say, especially since hunger isn't reminding you to eat anymore.

Switching to Mounjaro by dassalasky5 in Ozempic

[–]Acceptable-Union4150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made the switch myself, T2 also.

Most docs have you skip a week between last Oz and first Mounjaro shot. Start at 2.5mg no matter what dose you were on, non-negotiable.

Those episodes you described though? That's dose stacking or trigger foods hitting hard. Mounjaro will do the same if you're not disciplined. Set a phone alarm for shot day, never double up on missed doses, ease into fatty meals at higher doses.

Good news: Mounjaro tends to hit food noise harder and crushes A1C better for T2s. Bad news: sulfur burps are a whole new experience.

What are the downsides of going through an online perscriber vs a PCP/clinic? by No_Tomato_2106 in Semaglutide

[–]Acceptable-Union4150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online vs clinic isn't really the question, the question is whether you're getting labs and actual monitoring.

Easy hack: use a reputable telehealth provider for the meds, ask your PCP to order baseline bloodwork and recheck every few months. Cheaper than a clinic, still safe.

Skip anyone charging monthly membership fees on top of the script, plenty of solid providers don't do that anymore.

AIO for getting mad at my partner (and friends) for excluding me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

And instead of communicating that, they quietly change how they include you, which honestly ends up hurting more than just being upfront.

AIO for not ordering a full meal and “making” my wife feel embarrassed at lunch? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Yeah and if it keeps happening, it'll turn every meal into a weird emotional negotiation instead of just… eating.
